The REBL CUSTMS campaign, meant to celebrate the team’s 20-year journey in Formula 1, had promised fans the opportunity to see their custom design grace the Red Bull RB20 on race day. At first glance, the campaign seemed like a dream come true for F1 enthusiasts. Fans were invited to join Red Bull’s ‘Paddock’ fan community, submit their livery designs, and stand a chance to win a package that included flights, accommodation, race tickets, and their design on the race car itself. The competition, which ran from 30 May to 19 June, garnered considerable excitement as five designs made it to the final voting stage. But then came the rub: paint. In Formula 1, every gram counts. Added paint means added weight, and added weight means lost time on track. As the team explained in their newsletter ahead of this weekend’s race, it’s a compromise they simply weren’t willing to make.

And just a day after Antonelli made his FP1 debut at his home Grand Prix in Monza, Mercedes confirmed the news on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix. After clinching the ADAC and Italian F4 titles in 2022, followed by the Formula Regional European Championship in 2023, Antonelli skipped F3 and went straight to F2 with PREMA this season. Despite his inexperience, the Mercedes junior has already claimed two race victories and currently sits sixth in the championship standings. Following the success of last year’s inaugural weekend, 2+1 Concepts is back with Sprint Fest 2024.


In the latest 2023 Impact Report, SGP announced a commendable 20.7% reduction in emissions from the 2022 baseline within a five-month reporting period, with total emissions amounting to 1880.80t (CO2e). This feat excludes freight, logistics, and travel by Formula 1 and its teams. Energy is the primary source of emissions for the event. Direct emissions from fuel combustion, known as Scope 1, accounted for 46.56% of total emissions, representing a significant 40.97% decrease from the previous year. This reduction was primarily driven by substituting diesel with low-carbon alternatives for power generators and other energy management initiatives. In 2023, SGP powered select generators in the Circuit Park with biodiesel, including Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), and increased the use of B100 biodiesel. The plan is to extend the use of green fuels across all generators by 2028, potentially reducing energy emissions by up to 52%.

Race organiser Singapore GP Pte Ltd (SGP) is on track to halve its energy emissions from the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix by 2028.


This time, the victory came at the iconic Canadian Tires Motorsport Park (Mosport), thanks to an outstanding performance by partner team The Heart of Racing (THoR). Roman De Angelis and Spencer Pumpelly steered the #27 THoR Aston Martin Vantage GT3 to a decisive win. For De Angelis, this victory was particularly sweet, marking his second home event win in three years. Despite the pressure of a late-race Full Course Yellow, the team maintained their lead, delivering THoR's and Aston Martin's first GTD class win with the new Vantage GT3.
