This year, Volvo expects to sell 750 Polestar versions of the V60 wagon and S60 sedan globally. Polestar sales are forecast to increase, between 1,000 and 1,500 cars a year, in the medium term under Volvo’s ownership. The Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar feature a 350 horse power T6 engine, making the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.9 seconds, and an extensively developed chassis. The production-based, 330 bhp concept car is assembled in accordance with TCR Regulations and is intended to allow Volkswagen to evaluate a possible customer racing programme as of the 2016 season. The inaugural programme started with a camp held from 22 to 25 June 2015, participated by 320 lower secondary school students from 13 secondary schools in the Central Singapore District. They embarked on a learning journey to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) and were introduced to the mechanics and physics behind the construction of a theme park ride. Through guided tours and briefings conducted by trained facilitators at USS, the students picked up new knowledge on STEM principles. They were then given a chance to put what they learnt to the test.

Based on the SLS, the GT S is lighter and has room in the boot for golf bags and luggage. It doesn't have gullwings though and has been designed and priced to go head-to-head with the Porsche 911, instead of the more exotic kind like its predecessor did. But the 911 seats four (well, sort of), while the GT S is a two-seater. Oh well, we'll know more when (and if) we get to drive one.
