Maserati hopes the redesigned Quattroporte can help achieve a sales figure of 50,000 cars by 2015.

The new car boasts 450 bhp from an all new LT1 GM V8, making it the most powerful ‘base model’ corvette of all time. It also has 65Nm more low-end torque than the outgoing model. The exhausts are also less restrictive than the previous Corvette; the four exhausts each measuring 2.75 inches, compared to 2.6 inches on its predecessor. This results in improved air flow of up to 13%. All this adds up to a century sprint time of less than 4 seconds.

After many months of repeated teasing, Chevrolet has finally unveiled the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray a day before the 2013 Detroit Motor Show officially opens.

AMG is going all out for the styling; the car has a very aggressive appearance to tell all the bystanders that this is no businessman’s bog-stock E-Class, but a performance car capable of scarsely believable performance figures. The front and rear bumpers, headlights and the side skirts have been modified. The headlights come in the form of a one-piece unit with LEDs and bi-xenon, as compared to the two-piece unit on the outgoing car. The side skirts are more pronounced and features trim that runs goes along the length of the car.

BMW's answer to Lexus' LS600hL is the ActiveHybrid 7, a large premium hybrid that offers both luxury and performance. From our time with the car, it seems to have succeeded in fulfilling both claims.

The engine is not that new, the 4.0 TFSI, which debuted last year, is an example of Audi's downsizing strategy in the high-performance category. In the new Audi RS6 Avant, the twin-turbo V8 delivers 560 bhp and 700 Nm of torque that is available between 1,750 and 5,500 rpm.
