2013 was indeed a tough year for the local industry, but that aside, some very stylish cars still manage to make their way here.


The fifth generation 911 GT3, a completely new development, has a power-to-weight ratio of 3.0 kg/hp and the ability to achieve a top speed of 315 km/h. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 3.5 seconds and completes a lap at Nürburgring Nordschleife in just under 7:30 minutes. As a technical highlight, it features the first active rear-wheel steering in a production Porsche, as well as optional full-LED headlights. The powertrain consists of a 3.8-liter boxer engine yielding 475 bhp at 8,250 rpm, a Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK) and a high-traction rear-wheel drive.

While no details were revealed about power source at time of unveiling, we did reported earlier that BMW and Toyota had signed an agreement to cooperate on various areas. Hence, as this is a sports car after all, we reckon it could be potentially running with BMW's twin turbo'd six-cylinder lump paired to a 7-speed DCT.
