Infiniti's QX50 Concept To Debut

The QX50 concept - the brand’s vision for a next-generation premium crossover - makes its Asia debut this week at Auto Shanghai


Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Automobile Limited (a joint venture between China's Dongfeng Motor Corporation and PSA Peugeot Citroën) is expanding its range with the world premiere of the New C5 Aircross SUV: Set for launch in China in the second half of 2017, this new model will subsequently see production and its commercial launch in Europe at the end of 2018. Subsequently, Asia should see this model become available by the first quarter of 2019.

This is my first drive in a Jeep. After eight years of being a motoring journalist, I've finally gotten behind the wheel of an all-American off-roader and I am rather pleasantly surprised.


The VLN endurance race provided the opportunity for Hyundai Motor to intensively test the i30 N car that feature technical specifications very close to the actual production car. The i30 N car was up against cars from other manufacturers, that are heavily modified, to cope with the demands of the VLN race.Albert Biermann, Hyundai Motor's Head of Vehicle Test and High Performance Development said, “We want our high performance brand to have considerable racing pedigree so it is important that we compete with minimal modifications. Nürburgring is where the i30 N has undergone much of its testing and chassis development.”

Our company MPV finally gets some awesome in-car entertainment kit from the good folks at Pioneer.


The Panamera Turbo is also the first Porsche to be equipped with the new adaptive cylinder control in its engine. In part-load operation, the system temporarily and imperceptibly turns the eight-cylinder into a four-cylinder engine. The S3 sedan - which is also available in Sportback form - is a handsome car, with a sporty single-frame grill with matt grey inlays contrasting against the black paint. The lower air inlets have slightly more pronounced lines and a RS-styled honeycomb grill, giving the new S3 a meaner stance. While the black exterior is certainly safe, perhaps a more impactful colour for the test car would have been nice - Misano Red maybe?

Audi’s refreshed S3 has grown up in the looks department. Resembling its ‘older’ A4 sibling, it is also nearly as comfortable to pilot and sit in. Let’s go for a drive.


Besides the attention-grabbing exterior, the other key point of the 720S is the new M480T engine. The 4.0-litre engine, which has 41 percent new parts (namely piston, crankcase and turbochargers) content compared to the 3.8-litre engine, generates 710 bhp (720 PS) and 770 Nm of torque. Paired to a 7-speed SSG dual-clutch 'box, standstill to 100 km/h takes 2.9 seconds; 0-200 km/h is executed in 7.8 seconds. The car’s maximum speed is rated at 341 km/h.

A proper sporty Infiniti — well, well who would’ve thought?

At the same time, this resulted in an interior architecture which is spacious — with ample head and leg room at all seats. Weighing in only at 1,575 kg, the naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine produces 740 bhp and 690 Nm of torque; 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.9 seconds and top speed rated at 350 km/h. Transmission is provided by Lamborghini’s lightweight Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) 7-speed shifting system, providing robotized gear shifts in up to 50 milliseconds.
