Based on the new 911 GT3 RS production sports car, Porsche has designed a customer sport race car for GT3 category racing around the world: the 911 GT3 R.

Based on the Veloster RM shown at last year’s Busan Motor Show, the new RM15 features a host of modifications that boost the latest model’s performance, handling and efficiency. Total weight is reduced to 1,260 kg (a saving of 195 kg compared to an all-steel structure), weight distribution is more evenly balanced (43% front, 57% rear), the center of gravity is just 491 mm from the ground and aerodynamic downforce is 24 kg at 200 km/h, aided by a competitive lift-coefficient. Integrated sub-frame (front & rear) and a WRC-inspired roll-cage add extra stiffness to the structure, providing a firm foundation for the aluminium double-wishbone suspension, enabling it to give precise responses and consistent handling characteristics. RM15 rides on stylish 19-inch diameter mono block forged alloy wheels fitted with 235/35 R19 front and 265/35 R19 rear tyres.New vertical air-intake placed ahead of the rear wheel arches increase cooling airflow within the engine bay and enhances powertrain efficiency.

In this extremely important two-day test, laps were completed by all six official Lamborghini Squadra Corse drivers involved in this year's Blancpain Endurance Series. Fabio Babini, Jeroen Mui and Andrew Palmer joined theÂ track on Wednesday while Adrian Zaugg, Mirko Bortolotti and Giovanni Venturini were all out on the circuit .In a demanding session which involved more than 45 cars, the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 demonstrated its potential as it covered an impressive number of laps. The Huracan GT3's next outing will be in Vallelunga between 1st to 2nd April for a final test before the Monza opening round on 12 April 2015.

We start off with one of the cars most eagerly anticipated by the average enthusiast, something that mere mortals can actually afford - the new Honda Civic Type R. When the previous-generation FD and FN Civic Type Rs ended production in 2011 due to tightening emissions regulations, we weren't sure if we'd see another zingy, righ-revving Honda Type R again. Sadly, we won't. But luckily, instead of throwing in the towel, Honda has adapted with the times, and decided to turbocharge the Civic Type R, making it cleaner and meaner in the process. How much meaner exactly? Well, how does outputs of 306 bhp and 400 Nm @ 2500 rpm, a top speed of 270 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 5.7s and Nurburgring FWD record time of 7m 50.6s sound to you? Certainly puts the 'hot' in hot hatch for us!
