They’re a line of wide body kits by a company called TRA Kyoto, brainchild of a certain Kei Miura. The IPS version of the Evora allows the driver to switch between manual paddle shift and automatic drive modes. The driver also has the option of selecting ‘sport’ mode which showcases the Lotus sport driving experience allowing the driver to really feel each gear shift and be in complete control of the transmission. Lotus Chief Executive Officer Dany Bahar said: “The Evora IPS is set to broaden the appeal of the Evora and reach out to a wider market and we hope it will be popular with established automatic locations such as Asia. It’s been a while since Lotus created an automatic and we’ve spent a great deal of time refining this one to make sure that it perfectly complements the Evora drive experience.” Khun Seree Rakvit, President of Niche Cars Lotus, and sole authorised dealer for Lotus in Thailand, commented: “We are honoured to present the Evora IPS to the region at the Bangkok Motor Show. The Evora IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) and the Evora Enduro GT concept have made their first appearance in Asia at the 32nd Bangkok Motor Show.

Based on the findings of the report and the search for Asia’s Smartest FuelSaver, Shell has extended its effort to help drivers save 10% or more fuel. Now the focus is how to mobilise the 42% of the world’s drivers who are not currently saving. The Report suggests that fuel saving behaviours stick best when advice is shared by ‘Expert FuelSavers’ so Shell is establishing a global panel of Expert FuelSavers, starting with John and Helen Taylor, the Shell FuelSave Ambassadors and the finalists of Europe and Asia’s ‘Smartest FuelSavers’.

A Thai actress and business owner has been crowned Asia’s Smartest FuelSaver at the first Shell Eco-marathon in Asia.

With the kick-off of the event in Asia on the 8th of July 2010, the Shell Eco-marathon has finally achieved the status of being a truly global event for the first time with 80 per cent of the teams making it on to the track for the inaugural Shell Eco-marathon ASIA 2010 which is comparable to teams who participate in Europe and the United States. This competition has been running in Europe since 1985 and the United States since 2007 and the objective of the competition is to challenge students to design, build and drive a vehicle that can travel the furthest distance on the least amount of fuel.
