Swift Club Singapore Special Meet

Ever seen a horde of Suzuki Swifts thunder down the highway? Last saturday was one such day that saw more than 70 Suzuki Swift and Swift Sport owners convoy down the ECP for a rather special meet-up.


Having sold over 17 million albums worldwide, earned 3 Grammy Awards and topped the Billboard charts, American rock band Maroon 5 has churned out numerous smash hits including ‘She Will Be Loved’, ‘This Love’, and most recently, ‘Moves Like Jagger’ and ‘Misery’ from their third studio album titled 'Hands All Over'. With magnetic frontman Adam Levine chalking up points as a coach on the hit television series The Voice, Formula One fans can look forward to an adrenaline-charged Saturday show packed with Maroon 5’s greatest hits.

So here is the new Focus then, in its third and - what must probably be - the finest iteration. It’s not merely a facelift, mind you; it’s a major rework. Updated engine, new transmission, new exterior and even a new antenna. Well the chassis remains largely similar to the second generation, only points to note are strengthened mountings, improved bushings and steering, and better brakes.

As the teams and their mechanics worked on getting the best out of their machines, there were a few cars that were present in the pits but were not officially part of the action. We would have loved to see this R3 Lotus Exige 300RR burn the track rather than be a static display.
