The new MÃ©gane R.S. on the other hand is a 2.0-litre turbocharged pavement burner. Peak power is 250hp, while maximum torque stands at 340Nm which is available across a particularly broad rev-band to deliver a standard of performance that can be enjoyed equally on the road and on race tracks.

Driven by Kenny Lee, Chris O’Shannessy and Hsiao Tung Wei, the Class 2 trio took eight hours 32 minutes and 1.455 seconds to complete a gruelling 181 laps of the 5.543 kilometres Sepang International Circuit.
