Overheard at the Motorshow however, were comments by show goers who were quick to mention how it seemed to have almost similar lines to MINI’s Countryman. Lamborghini Urus Launched In SIngapore

Launched in Europe last week, the Lamborghini Urus has made its way here in Singapore within a week, and all allocations for Singapore have been snapped up

The largest changes to the new S-Class occur under the bonnet, with new engines debuting in two models — a new 4.0-litre V8 in the S560L, and an AMG 4.0-litre biturbo V8 in the S63. Despite offering 469 hp and 700 Nm of torque, the S560L’s engine is among the most economical V8 petrol engines in the world, consuming about 10 percent less fuel than its predecessor. This is achieved with cylinder deactivation technology and the CAMTRONIC valve-lift adjustment system, which deactivates four cylinders under partial load.

The benchmark of comfort gets new features, including an all-new engine

At launch, the Golf TSI debuts with a new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged TSI engine, offering 108 bhp and 200 Nm of torque — 25 Nm more than the outgoing 1.2-litre TSI unit. Power increases are also seen in the Golf GTI and Golf R, now producing 226 and 286 bhp respectively.

Reductionism continues inside the cabin, with switches kept to a bare minimum. In their place is JLR’s all-new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system, which mates the 10-inch screen in the usual position with another similar screen at knee level. Other physical switches — such as the steering wheel controls and climate control buttons — have all been replaced with touch-sensitive buttons for a minimalist feel.

It's been about two weeks since we fitted our Estima with a new Pioneer in-car entertainment system and it just keeps getting better.

The Panamera Turbo is also the first Porsche to be equipped with the new adaptive cylinder control in its engine. In part-load operation, the system temporarily and imperceptibly turns the eight-cylinder into a four-cylinder engine. Second generation Panamera is now locally available in four variants

The S3 sedan - which is also available in Sportback form - is a handsome car, with a sporty single-frame grill with matt grey inlays contrasting against the black paint. The lower air inlets have slightly more pronounced lines and a RS-styled honeycomb grill, giving the new S3 a meaner stance. While the black exterior is certainly safe, perhaps a more impactful colour for the test car would have been nice - Misano Red maybe?

To make it even worst for Honda, the local Mazda dealer then aggressively marketed the 3; this in turn became another success story, and so whenever the general public looked into this segment, the Corolla Altis, Jetta and 3 were the obvious choices. Just like this year’s show, Singapore Motorshow 2017 will also have a limited amount of special preview tickets - these are available at $10 per entry, and will allow visitors to enter the show at 1:00 pm on 12 January 2017 instead of 5:00 pm on the same day it opens to the public.
