• Built on a rear-wheel drive platform, it offers generous interior space for four occupants with a stretched greenhouse design. The LED lighting is one of the examples of new materials, electronics and dynamic systems we could see in future Lexus cars.
• The LF-Gh features several new designs, such as the spindle-shaped grille that projects a resolute look, while also contributing to efficient aerodynamics and radiator and brake duct operation may eventually find their way onto production models. The concept also demonstrates how common features such as door mirrors and handles can make the car look sleeker and improve aerodynamics.
• Inside the LF-Gh is a driver-orientated design that features a high-visibility instrument panel and intuitive controls on the centre console. Typical of the luxury marque, everything is finished in high-quality materials with fine attention to detail.
• On the inside, there is more interior space with improved comfort and quality despite not having a large increase in the car's exterior size. While the manual models feature incline start assist, the Lineartronic option gets a six speed manual mode with paddle shifters, promising to deliver a better driving experience than other automatic sports cars.
• The new Impreza also features a stiffer chassis that is designed to deliver a comfortable drive with lively handling. The suspension has been tweaked to improve straight line as well as cornering stability. The rear sub-frame has also been stiffened up for better twist resistance, which translates to better steering tracking.

• With a body made from lightweight materials such as carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) and aluminium, the concept weighs in at 1,720 kg without sacrificing rigidity. Inside, a flat-bottomed, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel is also a display that shows the driving state. The tachometer on the instrument cluster has been replaced by a “power meter,” with a needle that indicates the total system output. A second scale shows where the power is drawn from: The electric motor, the combustion engine or a combination of both.
• Designed as a plug-in hybrid, the concept is propelled by a 211 hp 1.4 TFSI engine and a 27 hp electric motor. Working together, zero to 100 km/h is achieved in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 231 km/h. To aid efficiency, the car also features a regulated oil pump, the intelligent Audi thermal management system, a start-stop system and an energy recovery system.
• Delivering an experience that enthralls all senses – spontaneous, voracious throttle response, easy revving, hefty torque, prodigious power and sonorous music, the free-breathing 4.2 FSI is a high performance engine that can be found in racing. Boasting not only power, the R8 Spyder 4.2 FSI quattro with the R tronic is also efficient, consuming on average 13.5 litres of fuel per 100 km; fuel consumption with the manual transmission is 14.9 litres per 100 km. A recuperation system that
recovers energy during braking comes as standard. The forced oil pump of the dry sump lubrication system features various suction and discharge stages for load dependent operation.
• The 4.2 FSI, which is also used in this form in the R8 Coupé, produces 430 bhp from a displacement of 4,163 cc – 103.2 bhp per litre. At the nominal engine speed of 7,900 rpm, the long-stroke engine’s eight pistons travel 24.1 metres per second. The electronic rev limiter kicks in at 8,250 rpm. The V8 delivers 430 Nm of torque to the crankshaft between 4,500 and 6,000 rpm, with at least 90 per cent of peak torque available between 3,500 and 7,500 rpm. The compact V8, which is assembled at the engine factory in Györ, Hungary, has the classic cylinder angle of 90 degrees and weighs just 216 kilograms. Its crankcase is made of an aluminium-silicon alloy using the low-pressure die casting method, which ensures particular homogeneity. The high silicon content makes the cylinder barrels extremely resistant to wear.
• The Audi R8 Spyder 4.2 FSI quattro is capable of a top speed of 300 km/h, and comes standard with the R tronic, a highly efficient sequential six-speed transmission. Shift commands are transmitted electrically; a hydraulic system changes the gears and manages the clutch. The R tronic offers both an automatic and a manual mode, both of which allows the driver to choose between two shift programs. In manual mode, the driver changes gears using the joystick on the centre tunnel or with the paddles on the steering wheel. At high load and engine speed, gear changes take less than a tenth of a second. The Launch Control program ensures an optimal start, as it controls the engine speed and the engagement of the clutch to accelerate the open-top two-seater with the ideal wheel slip.

The quattro permanent all-wheel drive delivers the engine’s power to all four wheels. Together with the locking differential on the rear axle, it provides significantly greater traction, stability, cornering speed and precision. The four powered wheels seem to claw into the asphalt at the exit of the corner, and the driver can get back on the throttle sooner than in a car with rear-wheel drive. Along with the mid-engine layout, the quattro all-wheel drive system in the R8 Spyder is specially designed with a strong rear bias. The transmission, which is mounted behind the longitudinally installed V8, has an auxiliary drive for a cardan shaft running past the engine to the front.

• The Austrian energy drink company, which is fast gaining in popularity amongst Formula One aficionados thanks to the double championship winning feat of Red Bull Racing in 2010 and the perfect start to the 2011 campaign by world champion Sebastian Vettel, is expecting crowds upwards of 50,000 spectators to turn up for this show car event. On 22 April, motor sports enthusiasts can also expect the festivities to start at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, where the Red Bull Speed Street event will be based. One can expect Audi and Infiniti cars on display, as well as Red Bull Racing merchandise on sale, while Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Singapore will be setting up a gaming area featuring the Red Bull X2010 super car in its PS3 game GT5 alongside four units of F1 simulators courtesy of Singapore GP, making the event a real motor racing extravaganza.
• The Red Bull Speed Street Singapore event comes hot on the heels of the similar named show run in Kuala Lumpur on 3 April, which saw Coulthard entertain a peak period shopping crowd along Jalan Bukit Bintang, the Malaysian capital’s main shopping street by giving a demonstration of the awesome power of a Formula One car against the unusual backdrop of mega malls and five star hotels. The Red Bull Speed Street Singapore show run will follow in a similar vein with the Scot racing down an 800 metres stretch of Orchard Road starting from the ION Orchard/Marriott Singapore in a showcase which will last about an hour. The public can expect manoeuvres such as short sprints, burnouts and donuts, which one won’t get to see often in actual Formula One races. The event will feature three runs by the Formula One car as well as two filler shows featuring the Audi R8 LMS driven by Malaysian former Formula One driver Alex Yoong.

• The concept M5 is based on the current F10 5-Series with a modestly more aggressive look. The suspension has been updated too to handle the extra power from the new V8 engine. Also, we are hoping that those trick-looking black wheels will make their way to the final production.
