Pagani of Singapore and Bombardier recently unveiled a pair of products on 7 February, showcasing the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC and the Bombardier Global 7500 private jet in a joint showcase. The unveiling happened at the Bombardier Service Centre in Singapore, the largest industry service centre in Asia. The Huayra Roadster BC, a hardcore variant of Pagani’s second generation hypercar, is handbuilt from the ground up by the Italian marque.

Among the drivers, Mr Akio Toyoda himself, President & CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation, and founder and team owner of ROOKIE Racing participated under the driver name “Morizo”. The Idemitsu Super Endurance race lasted 25 hours and was held in Thailand on December 17th and 18th. This race was a significant milestone, as it was the first time that Toyota’s hydrogen technology has been used in a race outside Japan. Toyota’s main aim when participating in the Thailand 25-hour Endurance Race and Carbon Neutral Power Cup is to showcase the feasibility of carbon neutrality in motorsports. This was also a great opportunity for Toyota to demonstrate its multiple-pathway approach to accelerate its actions towards total Carbon Neutrality.

Toyota Motor Corporation recently participated in the Idemitsu 1500 Super Endurance 2022 race held in Thailand, showcasing what its future-focused technology can offer even in racing.


I will openly admit to being pretty nonchalant when the opportunity to share a test-drive of the EQE 350+ with Sheldon was presented. Having read and watched multiple reviews of the EQS, I wasn’t exactly thrilled to partake in an EQ-product review. You know that saying about how one should NOT judge a book by its sibling cover? Mmmm hmmm… The day arrived when Sheldon showed up at my driveway in the EQE 350+. I couldn’t help but pull a Jonathan-impersonation, with the first words out of my mouth being, “it looks like a fish. Good thing it’s not silver, or it’d be a silverfish!”, accompanied by an pseudo-evil creepy-leery smirk, the type that one would be highly tempted to slap 73 different kinds of stupid out of. Sheldon groaned. Then we proceeded to the photoshoot. The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ AMG Line is the tri-point star brand’s answer to mid-range luxury. Unique to Singapore’s market though, it pretty much sits on its own. The Tesla Model S, its natural albeit less-luxurious rival, is not available here, and its nearest price-competitor, the Audi e-tron GT is a lower-slung two-door coupe. So, by some weird twist of fate, the EQE 350+ kinda sorta finds itself going up against its big-brother EQS in Singapore. Die Außenseite There’s no mistaking it. The EQE 350+ is big. B-I-G-G. Its nearly 5-metre length takes up a normal parking spot lengthwise, and then some. Parked next to other sedans and wagons at an open carpark, its bright white roofline could clearly be seen from a distance, since it towers around 1.5-metres above ground level. The curvy and flowing lines of the bodywork further accentuate this perception of ‘bigness.’

BMW M GmbH is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a slew of special edition models, such as the BMW 3.0 CSL aka Batmobile. Here in Singapore, the M4 CSL, and the uber-exclusive limited-edition M4 Competition 50 Jahre are set to round up the Golden jubilee for BMW’s performance sub-brand. If you want to get a first-hand view of these highly covetable editions, both cars will be on show at Performance Munich Autos showroom at 315 Alexandra Road until 14 December 2022.

Abarth, for some backstory, is the in-house tuning arm and performance division of Fiat. Formed independently in 1949 and subsequently taken over by Fiat in 1971, Abarth is responsible for bonkers creations such as the classic and modern day 695, which both took a Fiat 500 of their respective generations and added power, performance, handling and insane quirky touches, such as bucket seats that couldn't fully fold forward in the classic 695, to create something insanely memorable for the road. So it was natural that these folks would get their hands on the humble Fiat 500e and make something truly special out of it.

Ok, so it isn’t a full-fat M car like the M3 or M5, but rather a warmed-over M Performance model, like the M340i and M440i. Hence the double digit number in the M badge, and the demure bodywork. Still, with the ease with which electric drivetrains develop power, the i4 M50 is the brawniest model in the 3/4 Series range… For a very short while at least. One of its driving modes is called Sport Boost, which unlocks the car’s full 400kW/544hp and 795Nm of torque for up to 10 seconds at a time, a fair bit more than the M3 and M4 Competition’s 510hp and 650Nm. Otherwise, the i4 M50 normally puts out 350kW/476hp, and 730Nm.

Toyota goes doubles down on the #savethemanuals movement, but what does this mean for BMW?


First of all, let’s clarify the biggest detail about the all-new Lexus NX 350 F Sport tested here. Despite the number in its moniker, this Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) DOES NOT have a 3.5-litre V6 under its bonnet. Instead, it is powered by a 2,393cc turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder unit. In case you were wondering if this might be an allusion to its power output, it makes 275hp, 21hp less than the last Lexus to bear the venerable ‘350’ badge. It gets more interesting. The larger, Lexus RX 300 is fitted with a 1,998cc turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It is not too often that a flagship model gets a smaller engine. So as it is with its German competitors Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, the numbers no longer correspond to the engine capacity. Life used to be simpler…

Say 'SQ7' and one might be inclined to think about Singapore Airlines' flight from Hong Kong to Singapore. Notwithstanding that flight SQ7 has not flown in awhile, Burnpavement is all about land-based vehicles, so let's stick with that. Audi's jumbo SUV, the Q7 just got a V8 nestled into its engine bay. Yep, the same V8 that's found in RS models, but in its penultimate state of tune here with 500hp and (possibly?) a Boeing 777-towing 770Nm of torque courtesy of 4-litres of displacement and two turbos worth of forced induction. Keep in mind, Audi's all-electric RS e-tron GT has 830Nm of torque, so for the SQ7 to come in just 60Nm shy of it is fairly impressive.

This time however, the LC 500 finds itself in a slightly different world.
