"What's the point of buying a sports car when you have nowhere to drive it in Singapore?" Heard that question before?


The new car will be based on the New Generation i30, which was launched last year. The racing version is designed to take advantage of the best qualities of the road-going model, which went through its own rigorous testing plan, including mileage on the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit.Work on the design began at Hyundai Motorsport in September last year; building and development of the cars will also be completed at the company’s headquarters in Alzenau, Germany. The creation of this new project continues the work started by the Customer Racing department on the New Generation i20 R5 rally car which showed the high-performance, dynamic side of Hyundai to a wider audience.In line with current TCR regulations, the car will be powered by a two-litre turbocharged engine (from within the Hyundai range), and fitted with a six-speed gearbox and 100-litre fuel tank. The car is scheduled to begin testing in early April, while the first deliveries to customers are planned for December.

Strategically located at the gateway within Iskandar Puteri, Fastrackcity is approximately 10 minutes away from the Tuas SecondLink Checkpoint. The development is set to become the ultimate automotive lifestyle hub for enthusiasts of all ages in Malaysia, Singapore and beyond. The development will feature a 4.45km state-of-the-art Grade 1 Federation Internationale Automobile (FIA) and Grade A Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) international circuit. The terrain-hugging track takes advantage of the site’s natural 60-metre elevation differential, hence providing a racing experience like no other race tracks in Asia.

Designed in-house by the Ferrari Styling Centre, the 458 MM Speciale was built on the chassis and running gear of the 458 Speciale. Stylistically, the said owner was looking for extremely sporty lines and specified a ‘visor’ effect for the glasshouse: A black-painted A-pillar, very much in the style of the 1984 Ferrari GTO, helps provide a wraparound effect between the windscreen and side windows which melds into a single, seamless glass surface. This solution simultaneously lowers the roofline and lends an aerodynamic sleekness to the full volume of the swept-back C-pillar.

The GT4 Clubsport is blessed with many of the same traits that make its street-going sibling a riot to drive, such as bodywork that helps to produce genuine downforce on both axles, a lower, wider track and a mid-mounted 3.8 liter flat six engine that produces 385hp. However alterations have been made to beef up the base car, such as front suspension that has been lifted wholesale from a GT3 cup car while the rear has a revised strut design with GT3 cup car control arms. The 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers are also a one piece design now for added strength.

The McLaren P1 GTR Driver Programme is the ultra-exclusive ownership programme, offering specialist driver training, human performance and access to the McLaren racing simulator ahead of on track activity. Visitors were treated to a range of informative displays, family-friendly activities, and a multitude of mouth-watering Porsche cars both new and old. History buffs and car enthusiasts could trace the evolution of the iconic 911 model from its genesis in the 356, via 5 generations of classic 911 and right up to the current '991' generation, while motorsports and racing enthusiasts were enthralled by the actual 1998 Le Mans 24H race-winning Porsche 911 GT1, as well as a replica of the Porsche 919 Hybrid that won the 2015 race. In addition, Earl Bamber, New Zealand racing driver and co-winner of this year's Le Mans race, was also on hand to sign autographs and answer questions from fans of Porsche Racing.

The event also heralded the debut of the 911 GT3 RS, Targa 4S GTS, and two limited-edition SG50-themed cars.


The production-based, 330 bhp concept car is assembled in accordance with TCR Regulations and is intended to allow Volkswagen to evaluate a possible customer racing programme as of the 2016 season. In order to accelerate the development process, the new Golf will be tested under competitive conditions in the TCR between now and the end of the season.

The new S$1.3 million circuit features a 545-metre long track with 11 turns, consisting of a combination of sweeping corners, a hairpin and a chicane near the end of the lap. The 8-metre wide track, currently the widest in Singapore, even has multiple overtaking points that makes for an amazingly fun and safe circuit.
