But the main function that has made entertainment in the car so much more enjoyable now, is the integration between mobile phone and the in-car entertainment (ICE) system. It has never been this cohesive and easy to use - especially if you're an Apple user.

Our company MPV finally gets some awesome in-car entertainment kit from the good folks at Pioneer.


The Panamera Turbo is also the first Porsche to be equipped with the new adaptive cylinder control in its engine. In part-load operation, the system temporarily and imperceptibly turns the eight-cylinder into a four-cylinder engine. This reduces fuel consumption by up to 30 per cent, hence returning a combined fuel consumption of 9.4L/100 km.Prices are set at SGD$360,388 for the Panamera, SGD$543,188 for the Panamera 4S, SGD$556,988 for the Panamera 4S Diesel and SGD$711,688 for the Panamera Turbo. Second generation Panamera is now locally available in four variants


The S3 sedan - which is also available in Sportback form - is a handsome car, with a sporty single-frame grill with matt grey inlays contrasting against the black paint. The lower air inlets have slightly more pronounced lines and a RS-styled honeycomb grill, giving the new S3 a meaner stance. While the black exterior is certainly safe, perhaps a more impactful colour for the test car would have been nice - Misano Red maybe?

We went up north to sample the turbocharged Mustang in its natural habitat, and here’s what we’ve found (yieehaaw)…


The ultra-low inertia, twin-scroll turbochargers fitted to the new M840T engine spools up more rapidly than previous designs, delivering reduced turbo lag and quicker throttle response. This new 4.0-litre engine then signals its performance credentials with an exhaust sound achieved through a sophisticated balance of harmonics and delivering a ‘crescendo’ characteristic, according to engine rpm and load. A sports exhaust is optional for those who want still more aural excitement.Owners will also be able to showcase the heart of their new car — in particular, the cast-aluminium air intake plenum with McLaren Speedmark logo on top of the new V8 engine — with engine bay illumination that operates on vehicle unlocking

A new 4.0-litre V8 engine will power second-generation McLaren Super Series


The company is also dropping its 3.7-liter V6 engine, which officials say account for roughly 15 percent of sales, in favor of the turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V8. Ford’s new 10-speed automatic transmission, which debuted last year on the F-150, will come as an option with both engines too. The 2018 Mustang went on display Tuesday at the 2017 Detroit auto show and was unveiled at other events in Los Angeles and New York.“The new Mustang is our best ever, based on more than 50 years as one of the iconic sports car in America and now, the world,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s president of the Americas, said in a statement.

The annual Singapore Motorshow returns with a host of new models - we highlight some here!


The nonprofit group's goal is to promote more choice in how smartphones get connected to in-vehicle technologies like dashboard displays and voice recognition, and in other programming, Ford and Toyota said in a joint statement. Toyota has resisted offering Apple's CarPlay and Google's Android Auto in its vehicles, citing concern that doing so would diminish safety and security. Ford, on the other hand, offers them on all its 2017 model vehicles; but the automaker still wants an open-source software platform that all app developers can use as an alternative to those of Google and Apple.

It wasn’t until two years later that the name “Andrew Tang” would become prominent. This was when he became champion of the 2014 Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand, becoming the first non-Kiwi ever to do so. Sadly, his rapid rise up the ranks was curtailed by National Service, but he’s since bounced back from that setback, having been picked up by the Porsche China Junior Team in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, where he’s currently lying 3rd in the Championship, with two race wins under his belt. Meanwhile, the best overall MPG figure from a conventional internal combustion engine car was 88.87 mpg (37.78 km/L), achieved by John Kerswill and Ian McKean in a Mazda 2 1.6d Sports Nav; this figure was an improvement of 5.77 mpg (2.45 km/L) over the manufacturer’s claimed figure, hence allowing them the title 'Best Outright MPG - Cars' category.
