Vettel's Turkish Delight!

Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel takes home his third victory at the Turkish Grand Prix.

Another Boost For The WRC As Volkswagen Signs Up

Volkswagen will be returning to the FIA World Rally Championship from 2013.


Among these, Ito (No. 6) was running at the fastest pace and gradually closing what was initially a 16-second gap between him and Motoyama (No. 23). It looked as if Ito would eventually take the lead if that pace continued, but with about ten laps remaining the rain began falling harder and forming puddles on the track that made conditions treacherous. Cars began spinning out and running off the track. Seeing this, the Clerk of the course ordered the red flag out at the end of lap 60 to stop the race. Eventually it was decided to end the competition at this point, making the running order at the end of lap 59 the final finishing order. This gave the victory to the No. 23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R (Satoshi Motoyama/Benoit Treluyer). Finishing seconnd was the No. 6 ENEOS SUSTINA SC430 (Daisuke Ito/Kazuya Oshima), while third went to the No. 19 WedsSport ADVAN SC430 (Tatsuya Kataoka/Seiji Ara).

Spengler Wins At Hockenheim

Pole position on Saturday and race victory on Sunday: for Bruno Spengler (Mercedes-Benz), the first DTM race of the season went according to plan.


The second race (Round 4) was one of the most exciting ever with Gabriele Tarquini and his SEAT León TDi being able to interrupt Chevrolet's supremacy. The tough fight for the lead between the Italian and Huff will be remembered and the result proved that even a great team with great drivers can fail when put under pressure. Which is good news for the championship that is still led by Huff who has only a one-point margin ahead of Menu.

Huff And Tarquini Shares Wins In Sunny Easter

Belgian fans flocked to the Zolder track in a sunny Easter Sunday and were rewarded by two close races that saw Rob Huff and Gabriele Tarquini sharing victories.


With all pit stops completed and 16 laps remaining, Hamilton was fourth. But on lap 42, he passed Rosberg for third and then proceeded to overtake Felipe Massa two laps later to move up to second, 4.6 seconds behind Vettel. The gap between Vettel and Hamilton was soon whittled down over the next eight laps, with Hamilton eventually passing Vettel with five laps remaining.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton overcame his pre-race gremlins to end Sebastian Vettel's dominance with a victory at the Chinese Grand Prix.


Pierre-Brice Mena now led the race in the No. 3 Hexis Aston Martin DBRS9 from the No. 40 Marc VDS Ford of Bas Leinders and the No. 1 Vita4One Ferrari. The Leinder’s Ford suffered the same fate as the Belgian Audi Club cars when a tyre blew out on lap 19 and had to return to the pits for a replacement promoting Nico Verdonck in the Vita4One Ferrari into second.

The JK Racing Asia Series consists of 18 races on six weekends in the 2011 season. Finland's Mikko Hirvonen held off the challenge of six-times champion Sebastien Loeb to clinch victory in the season opener in Sweden.

The supersoft provides plenty of speed at the expense of durability, while the soft tyre lasts a bit longer but is still more biased towards performance. The medium tyre is a balanced compromise, while the hard tyre is the most durable of all. Curitiba To Host The Opening Of Two Car Racing Series

The capital of the Brazilian state, Paraná will be seeing the green flag for the FIA World Touring Car Championship and the Copa Caixa Stock Car series.


The season is set to be the best in years, with very strong interest from new teams and drivers and a close cooperation with HKAA in three of the six events. Motorsport Asia has received applications from Teams running Chevrolet’s and BMW’s as well as varied entries from the usually popular Honda’s. The Series’ will get underway on 20th March with its first ever visit to the Guangdong International Circuit, located in the Guangzhou province. It will then continue with four races in May at two Asian Festival Of Speed events. Rounds 3 & 4 will be held at the Korean International Circuit for the AFOS season opener before heading to Malaysia at the end of May for the next two rounds. ATCS will take a one-month break before meeting up again in Sepang for Rounds 7 & 8. The 2011 ATCS Season will end in Indonesia where the drivers are excited to make a return to the very challenging and resurfaced Sentul International Circuit.
