Six women debunked the perception of women being inferior drivers at the Subaru’s Search For Female Stunt Driver event at the F1 Pit Building last Saturday.

Misano is back on the calendar for the Italian series on 10 July, while the European runners will be tackle the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit on 7 August. The North American serie will run over six rounds held in the United States and Canada, apart from the extra seventh event which as usual sees competitors race at the Finali Mondiali Ferrari.

The Maranello Corse Clienti Department has announced changes for next season’s racing in the build up to the 2010 Finali Mondiali Ferrari, which will take place at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit

Mr Glenn Tan, Group Chief Executive of Motor Image Group, and Miss Florence Lian, Managing Director of MediaCorp Radio presented the coveted prize, a Subaru Impreza 2.5 MT sedan worth S$98,800 (without COE) to a surprisingly still-energetic Mr Lim. For the first time, this year, the runner-up did not walk away empty-handed. Mr Jonid received a cash prize of S$5,000 for being the runner-up.

SINGAPORE GP “Shakedown” and SMSA Touring Car Championship

On 4th and 5th September, 800 volunteer track marshals and senior officials from Singapore GP congregated at Johor Circuit for a full 2 day “shakedown” in preparation for this year’s F1.

Why The Last Frontier? Well, the disused logging tracks with its thick jungle canopies and rugged terrain are places never visited by anyone in the 4x4 before especially the Swamp Thing, Hot Spring Predator, The Terminator of Keluang and the Twilight Zone.

The 458 Challenge has made its world debut in Maranello during the Annual Dealer Meeting, an event that brings together the international sales representatives of Ferrari.

Based on the findings of the report and the search for Asia’s Smartest FuelSaver, Shell has extended its effort to help drivers save 10% or more fuel. Now the focus is how to mobilise the 42% of the world’s drivers who are not currently saving. The Report suggests that fuel saving behaviours stick best when advice is shared by ‘Expert FuelSavers’ so Shell is establishing a global panel of Expert FuelSavers, starting with John and Helen Taylor, the Shell FuelSave Ambassadors and the finalists of Europe and Asia’s ‘Smartest FuelSavers’.

A Thai actress and business owner has been crowned Asia’s Smartest FuelSaver at the first Shell Eco-marathon in Asia.

The teams are from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) West, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
