To be really honest, the Passat's looks are its downfall. I might be giving it away too early in this story, but the Passat is truly a great car to drive and own, I just wished it looked just as good. It is by no means ugly, but at the same time, it lacks a strong personality. It just looks bland - which I guess will work for those who don't want too much attention.

Every now and then, we'll get some extra time with a car, that's when I'll get my chance to spend some time with it and give you my take. Last weekend, I took the wife and kids out in the Passat.


The new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 also features Goodyear's renowned FuelSaving Technology, which aids reduced fuel consumption. The TÃœV SÃœD Automotive test also confirmed that the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 delivers top-class rolling resistance in its category, with a 7 percent better rolling resistance compared to the average performance of three leading competitors. Also, the tyre's optimized block design and optimized 4 Pitches Sequence with 64 blocks on the outside and 72 blocks on the inside help reduce noise output levels. Goodyear internal performance tests also showed that the Asymmetric 2 outperforms its predecessor with more than 10% improvement in mileage.

“This vehicle will mark the launch of the first volume-produced car featuring bodywork largely made of carbon. The application of this new CFRP technology allows a weight reduction, compared to a conventional electric car, of between 250 and 350 kilos, and that means more dynamic handling coupled with a greater range. The BMW i3 does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in less than eight seconds, while a high-speed charger achieves an 80% battery charge in just an hour.

This simple and funky Cooper S has a red hot interior and some yummy performance bits, all thrown in to make it a spicy little number!


The A1 e-tron contains technology that Audi’s development engineers are using to study the mobility requirements for such a future-oriented concept. The technological basis includes an electric motor with a maximum output of 75 kW that is powered by a lithium-ion battery. The battery features a 12 kWh capacity and can be completely charged in 30 minutes (quick charge), or in less than three hours (standard charge). It offers a range of 50 kilometres. To prevent drivers from being stranded by an empty battery, the A1 e-tron also comes equipped with a combustion engine, which can charge the battery as needed. The one-disc rotary engine (254 cc) is located under the trunk floor; it provides 15 kW of output intended solely to charge the battery, rather than to directly power the wheels.
