The 6.3 litre V8 engine shares components from the more expensive SLS AMG cousin, receiving the lightweight forged pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft. With a new engine control unit, the Black kicks out 517 hp and a torque of 620 Nm. The 0-100 km/h is over in an estimated 4.2 seconds.

The A1 e-tron contains technology that Audi’s development engineers are using to study the mobility requirements for such a future-oriented concept. The technological basis includes an electric motor with a maximum output of 75 kW that is powered by a lithium-ion battery. The battery features a 12 kWh capacity and can be completely charged in 30 minutes (quick charge), or in less than three hours (standard charge). It offers a range of 50 kilometres. To prevent drivers from being stranded by an empty battery, the A1 e-tron also comes equipped with a combustion engine, which can charge the battery as needed. The one-disc rotary engine (254 cc) is located under the trunk floor; it provides 15 kW of output intended solely to charge the battery, rather than to directly power the wheels.

A total of 32 electric vehicles entered, but Audi outshone everyone at the second Silvretta Electric Car Rally in Austria’s Montafon region.


The unique A-shaped body allows Plantronics to incorporate three microphones. The call button is located at the top, and the voice recognition button is in the middle. Even though these buttons are flush with the overall design, they are fairly easy to press, and are far enough apart that you won't mistake one for the other. This headset is slightly thick, but it is light enough not to be noticed. A small selection of ear gels and a clear plastic ear-loop provides a comfortable fit for most ears.

The 79th 24 Heures du Mans, or widely known as the 24 hours of Le Mans has been one of the most drama filled races in recent memory. Audi's McNish and Rockenfeller were involved in two separate crashes that reduced their Audi R18 TDI cars to pieces. McNish went out in the first hour after coming into contact with a slower Ferrari, skidding across the gravel trap and slamming hard into the barriers, showering journalists and track crew with fragments of the car.

Audi's 10th Win At The 24 Heures Du Mans

Audi won the gruelling race for the 10th time on Sunday with Andre Lotterer taking the chequered flag in the German manufacturer's R18 TDI car.

In order to convert such power into efficient propulsion, the front axle is equipped with a mechanical, multi-plate limited-slip differential. This helps reduce wheel slip when there are very high lateral forces under acceleration, for example, or changes in the texture of the road surface. It is also ideal for forays onto the race track.

Looks like everyone is having a Nürburgring Edition of some sort nowadays. The limited Opel Corsa OPC is one of them, just 500 units of this raw pocket-rocket powerhouse will be available.


Among these, Ito (No. 6) was running at the fastest pace and gradually closing what was initially a 16-second gap between him and Motoyama (No. 23). It looked as if Ito would eventually take the lead if that pace continued, but with about ten laps remaining the rain began falling harder and forming puddles on the track that made conditions treacherous. Cars began spinning out and running off the track. Seeing this, the Clerk of the course ordered the red flag out at the end of lap 60 to stop the race. Eventually it was decided to end the competition at this point, making the running order at the end of lap 59 the final finishing order. This gave the victory to the No. 23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R (Satoshi Motoyama/Benoit Treluyer). Finishing seconnd was the No. 6 ENEOS SUSTINA SC430 (Daisuke Ito/Kazuya Oshima), while third went to the No. 19 WedsSport ADVAN SC430 (Tatsuya Kataoka/Seiji Ara).
