Audi Centre Singapore received the Asia Pacific accolade at the International Property Awards.

Pirelli and the Volkswagen Group are also engaged in joint business development in Russia and the United States.

With the last 2011 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix crowned 'Best Sport Event of the Year (International)' at the Singapore Sports Awards, this year's race promises even more.


Based on the acclaimed V12 Vantage and sporting a handcrafted aluminium and carbon fibre body, up to 150 examples of this new car will be produced. Orders are now being taken on a strictly first come first served basis and production is expected to commence in 2012 at Aston Martin’s global headquarters at Gaydon, Warwickshire.

This year, the judges bestowed the awards on the Kia Sportage compact CUV and Kia Optima sedan. The new mid-size Kia Optima sedan was also awarded the 2011 red dot “best of the best” title. These latest wins bring the number of Kia models to receive a Red Dot award to four – with the Kia Venga winning in 2010 and the Kia Soul in 2009. The Kia Optima and the new Sportage also won 2011 iF product design awards in December.

Kia Motors was awarded top honours in two categories at this year’s Red Dot product design competition in Germany.


The title of “SportsCar of the Year” is one of the most sought-after awards in the German automobile industry, and all participating sports cars had to prove their worth in over 300 tests and road reports before being nominated. 68,132 readers of “Auto Bild SportsCars” cast their votes in the poll – the eighth time it had taken place – to select the winner from a total of 173 vehicles in 17 categories, each of which was subdivided into “Tuning” and “Production”.

Since its launch in 1953, the annual iF product design award has been one of the world’s most important prizes for excellence in design. The award has its origins in the product show “Die gute Industrieform” (Good Industrial Design) initiated by the Hanover trade show and is now one of the world’s largest design competitions. For the iF product design award 2011, the organizers received 2,756 submissions from 43 countries for products registered in 16 categories. Kia Sportage and Kia Optima won in the category “Transportation Design.”
