The car was designed from the start to have a reduced environmental footprint, especially evident in its construction - around 15% of the 200kg of plastic used in the DS4 vehicle is derived from ‘green materials'.

Based on the C-SportLounge concept, the DS5 is designed with smooth-flowing lines, a sleek profile and muscular wheel arches that wrap around large alloy wheels. There is an over sized air intake, a large chrome-finished grille housing the chevrons and a new LED light signature. A distinguishing feature, the DS5 boasts of a chrome-finished “sabre” inserts stretching from the top of each head lamp to the windscreen.
