Despite getting the exclusive right almost a year ago, the local launch of the 86 model now allows Borneo Motors to push the TRD brand more aggressively.

Toyota Racing Development (also known as TRD) is an independent arm of Toyota that is responsible both for improving street cars for better performance and supporting Toyota’s racing interests around the world.
TRD is known for its extensive research and development in the sports and performance arena; which is highly esteemed among the top-of-the-range performance brands. With parts like superchargers, lightweight alloy wheels, suspension and brake kits, exhaust systems, it is specially designed to optimize your Toyota’s performance.
Borneo Motors Singapore is now the exclusive official TRD Distributor for Singapore — although it has been so since 26th July 2011, in conjunction with the highly-anticipated 86 being introduced to the current range of Toyota cars, the launch of the TRD edition of this new model will set the benchmark for other TRD variants lined up in the future. Works are also underway to strengthen the TRD brand, with a specially dedicated TRD corner showcasing a TRD-spec vehicle, in the newly-refurbished Toyota showroom at Leng Kee (launching soon).
TRD will be offered as a premium sports line, as part of Toyota’s Customer Value Creation, in particular targeting the racing niche segment. It offers customers a wider product line-up through New Vehicle Sales and Aftersales Service. For existing Toyota car owners, they can also opt for an upgrade of their servicing packages to TRD parts for that extra fun and power.
TRD’s key attribute of performance synergises with Toyota’s unique selling propositions of QDR (Quality, Durability & Reliability) and brand promise of delivering always better cars.
