BY Azfar Hashim

Rolls-Royce celebrated a successful Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend

Rolls-Royce's dynamic  Wraith effortlessly ascended the famous Goodwood Hillclimb during the Supercar Run. It completed the 1.87 kilometre course in 57.21 seconds, placing it ahead of the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale Centennial Edition (59.00 seconds), the Bentley Continental GT (60.65 seconds), the Maserati GranCabrio MC (60.66 seconds) and the Porsche 918 Spyder ‘Weissach’ (61.37 seconds).

At the same time, the Wraith recorded a speed of 171 km/h as the car crossed the finish line, beating the Company’s previous Goodwood Hillclimb record that was set in 2014. The Wraith was driven by champion mountain and hillclimb driver, Joerg Weidinger.

Not missing out too was the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, this year's Course Car. Decorated with LED race lights and Goodwood decals. The car was seen at speed between each Hillclimb Run, throughout the weekend.
