The Aston Martin DB12 Volante makes use of a 'K-fold' roof that maximises luggage space and minimises any physical alterations of the car's elegant body.


Sharing the Coupe’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and bonded aluminium structure, the Volante offers drivers 503 bhp and 675 Nm of torque in a light but rigid body, with the added benefit of open-air motoring. Greater levels of performance and handling accentuate the more sporting side of its character, while increased refinement, comfort and interior space ensure it remains an ideal grand tourer.

Not only is it the most powerful soft-top Aston ever to leave the gates at Gaydon, it is also the stiffest, thanks to its all-carbonfibre bodywork, another Aston first. Happily, the company has eschewed the current folding hardtop trend and gone for a traditional triple-skin fabric roof that takes just 14 seconds to fold. Roof up or down, the Volante has 279 litres of bootspace, 50% more than the outgoing DBS Volante.
