When it comes to the latter, the entry version known as the i4 eDrive40, when fully-charged, is capable of a range of up to 590km. Timely, considering that Singapore drivers will be able to drive into Malaysia without restrictions again from April 1st. With such a range, the i4 should be able to be driven to Kuala Lumpur without any problems. It is also reassuring to know that Shell has a network of 180kW high-speed chargers along the North-South Expressway in Malaysia just in case the i4 or any other EV needs a quick juice-up. Powered by a 250kW (340hp) and 430Nm electric motor that drives the rear wheels, this enables this EV to accelerate to 100km/h from a standstill in 5.7 seconds.

You take a look at the LC 500 here — you’re just not sure. The front end made it look like a serpent and the grill seems a tad over the top. Flanking the car are several creases, paired to a broad shoulder that, potentially, puts Stallone to shame. The rear? Full of details that will not look out of place in a Transformer series, thanks largely to the slit-eyed tail lamps.

On the move, the dimensions of the 5 Series felt as though it was shrunken, with the car's suspension and engine providing a confidence inspiring drive, belying it's size which is by far the biggest 5 Series ever in the model's history. Though the car looks visually more compact, the wheelbase in reality has been increased by more than three inches. Prodding the accelerator, the car surges forward with no hint of turbo lag. The throttle response impressively quick and sensitive with nary a hint of jerkiness and the car going from 0 to 100 in just 6.1 seconds.
