The idea of a Coupe SUV has always been an oxymoron. SUVs are not sleek. Never were and will never be, so why try to pretend that it has any sporting intentions, let alone try to look as if it does? Well, what do I know? Virtually every major car manufacturer has one of these now; an SUV with a raked rear profile and (usually) lowered suspension and (also usually) big wheels. The Audi Q8 is one such car. Launched in 3.0 TFSI and RS Q8 variants earlier, it now offers an 'S' version that sits between the two to complete the range. So what is it? It's a tuned-down, softer version of the RS Q8. You get the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 with about 15% less power. Yet, the SQ8 still pushes out a hefty 500 bhp and 770 Nm of torque.

Despite initially being signed as a third/reserve driver for Red Bull in 2023, Ricciardo has now been loaned to AlphaTauri for the remainder of the season.

Škoda is expanding its RS family to include another EV model. It’s (creatively) dubbed the Enyaq iV RS, and just like its coupe sibling, the Czech carmaker has opted for a dual motor all-wheel drive setup with a total power output of 220 kW (299 PS) and 460 Nm of instant torque. Interestingly enough, this makes both RS versions of the Enyaq iV family the most powerful models currently in Škoda's lineup.

Škoda is expanding its RS family to include another EV model, a dual-motor high-performance version of its electric Enyaq iV SUV.


With 30 years of competitive experience, Sauber is one of the most renowned and traditional teams in Formula 1. The Swiss racing team is currently in a partnership with Alfa Romeo. Sauber will be responsible for planning and executing race operations during the Formula 1 season. With its new collaboration with Audi, the power unit will be developed at Audi’s Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg an der Donau, while Sauber will produce the Formula 1 car at its site in Hinwil (Switzerland). Development of the power unit, which consists of the MGU-K, battery, control systems and a V6 hybrid engine, is already in full swing at Audi’s racing facility.

Ferrari is aware of the implications such a car would have on its purist sports car image, which is why it’s gone to great lengths to convince us all of the Purosangue’s authenticity. For starters, Ferrari doesn’t actually call the Purosangue an “SUV” or even a “crossover”, merely, acknowledging that it’s “the first ever four-door four-seater car in the Prancing Horse’s history”. Then there’s the name: “Purosangue” translates from Italian as “thoroughbred”.
