    • With 740 bhp and 690 Nm of torque, the new car will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.5 seconds. It also completes the lap of the Fiorano circuit in 1’23”, faster than any other Ferrari road car.
    • Unprecedented performance from a new engine, combined with head-turning design, it's no wonder the car has 30 pre-orders. Which means the whole of next year's allocation of the V12 supercar here is practically covered.
  • The highlight of the ‘roadshow’ will take place on September 22, where Pirelli is partnering Porsche Club Singapore and Leica Singapore to organise a drive around Singapore. • Pirelli will bring the P Zero White medium tyres and P Zero Yellow soft tyres to Monza, which are designed to cope with the demands of Monza’s high-speed layout and provide plenty of scope for the teams to use different tyre strategies.
    • With the historic circuit having been inaugurated in 1922, this year marks the 82nd Italian Grand Prix and the 61st to be held at Monza. Pirelli has claimed six victories at home, back in the 1950s, when the circuit was best-known for its high-speed banking, which still stands as a tourist attraction today. The modern track has been extensively modified over the years but it is still hard to find perfect traction under acceleration and braking as the teams run low downforce in order to maximise their top speed on the flat-out straights.
    • There are also some high kerbs on the chicanes that put huge lateral loads through the tyres, adding to the gruelling workout that the rubber receives over the 53 laps of the race.

As the decision was taken to suspend the race, everyone went for the freshest tyres they had. When the race resumed for its final six laps, McLaren repaired Lewis Hamilton’s rear wing and Vettel, back on badly-needed fresh rubber, won easily from Alonso and Button.
    • The event had started well, with Vettel leading confidently from Button and Alonso. Then Button pitted on lap 15, Vettel on 16 and Alonso on 17. However, the flow of the race was interrupted when Massa, having just been passed by Hamilton for 10th place, crashed in the tunnel after veering off line. At the same time Michael Schumacher’s Mercedes had ground to a fiery halt at Rascasse.
    • When the race resumed, Alonso slowly ate away at Vettel’s lead, together with Button until an incident happened on lap 67 that blew the race. Under pressure from an overtaking Pastor Maldonado in the Williams, Sutil went wide at Tabac and hit the wall in the Swimming Pool with his right rear wheel. As the Force India then ran wide in the second section of the Pool, a lapped Alguersuari ran over the kerb and launched himself into the back of Hamilton, who’d just passed Maldonado, smashing the McLaren’s rear wing and inadvertently then forcing an innocent Petrov into the wall with a heavy impact.
  • Team McLaren put on a strong performance, with Lewis putting pressure on Team Red Bull Racing and closing the time gap within a second. Although Hamilton could deploy KERS and the DRS, the performance advantage of the Red Bull car kept Lewis in a close second place. Jenson Button made it a McLaren 2-3 finish after climbing from 10th position.

Vettel soon opened up a lead of 1.8 seconds by the first lap, and built it to over seven seconds before Mark Webber found his way past Nico Rosberg for second place on lap 5.
