One year after Maserati unveiled its car and sports plans, the brand made a return to Spa-Francorchamps for round 3 of the Fanatec GT2 European Series.


The Maserati GT2 will be on the starting grid at the Paul Ricard circuit in the opening round of the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series Powered by Pirelli, scheduled for 5 and 6 April at the French circuit. Three cars, two run by LP Racing, and one by the TFT Racing team, are preparing to take part in the new season of the European championship reserved for GT2 class cars. The Trident is lining up on the track for the first time since it took part in the final race of the 2023 season, also in France.

Maserati has unleashed its latest track sensation, the Maserati GT2.


At the season-opening race, which was the 1000 Miles of Sebring, perfect team operations, exceptional driver consistency and smart tyre management delivered a one-two victory over a packed Hypercar field featuring other legendary endurance racing marques, such as Cadillac, Ferrari, Peugeot, and Porsche. Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López held the advantage in the drivers’ standings after their victory at Sebring in the #7 GR010 Hybrid. Reigning World Champions, and last year’s Le Mans winners, Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa began their title defence with a close second-place finish. After the unique challenges over the bumps in Sebring a month ago, Portimão marks the start of an important and intense European-based preparation period prior to the Le Mans 24 Hours, which includes the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps at the end of April.

To continue its run of success in the internationally established GT4 category, BMW M Motorsport has released the new BMW M4 GT4.


BMW is set to expand its footprint in Singapore by appointing a second official dealer. Eurokars Auto Pte Ltd will join Performance Motors Ltd (PML), which has been the sole dealer for the German brand for more than 40 years. Any suggestion that the move stems from any lack of - no pun intended - performance from PML can be put to rest by the fact that BMW overtook longtime rival Mercedes-Benz as the best-selling premium car brand last year, and in the process, clinched second position overall, just 16.6 percent behind the leader, Toyota.
