To be really honest, the Passat's looks are its downfall. I might be giving it away too early in this story, but the Passat is truly a great car to drive and own, I just wished it looked just as good. It is by no means ugly, but at the same time, it lacks a strong personality. It just looks bland - which I guess will work for those who don't want too much attention.

First, we look at the 508's hungry pride mates with gaping grilles - that design highlight that seem so synonymous with Peugeot is gone. Singapore Turf Club was filled with the sounds of screeching tyres, as participants for our first driving event gained a deeper understanding of their cars.


“This vehicle will mark the launch of the first volume-produced car featuring bodywork largely made of carbon. It’s a revolution in automotive design,” stressed Klaus Draeger, Member of the Board responsible for Development. The application of this new CFRP technology allows a weight reduction, compared to a conventional electric car, of between 250 and 350 kilos, and that means more dynamic handling coupled with a greater range. The BMW i3 does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in less than eight seconds, while a high-speed charger achieves an 80% battery charge in just an hour.
