Local tuning specialists Autovox showcased a mouth-watering range of their gorgeous TECHART Porsches at an awesome party organised for the German Porsche tuner.


The new car looses one distinctive feature of its predecessor, the roll bar. In its place is an active rollover protection system first seen in the Beetle Cabriolet and EOS. It fires two metal beams out from the rear of the passenger cabin within milliseconds of detecting a roll.

Although it has already been more than a year, the TTRS isn’t exactly a hit among keen drivers here. You don’t know what to blame it on — that it initially came in only a 6-speed manual transmission? With the show being on hiatus since 2008, Wei Jie from E3lipse Photography attended this year's edition to find out what it's like.


The revised platform is more rigid compared to the current model thanks to an increased number of spot welds and adding laser welds in very specific locations. The track, wider by 40mm at the front and 50mm at the rear, works in combination with a revised suspension design to give a more assured stance and superior cornering performance.
