For some, having a Porsche 911 Turbo is more than enough. Not for this owner. Merely a base car, his 911 Turbo has been transformed into a super car-slaying TECHART GT Street.

Right from the start, it was a relatively trouble-free run from pole to chequered flag for Imperatori, with the exception of a hairy moment when the race leader caught up with back markers in the latter stages of the 12-lap race. However behind him, it was a repeat of Round 3's white-knuckle battle between Sawa and Avila. Avila got away well from the second row and, as Sawa challenged Imperatori for the lead off the line, the Macau racer was able to charge round the outside and into second, albeit briefly. The Japanese ace reclaimed the position by turn four, and from there Avila relentlessly piled on the pressure. The trio were nose to tail in the early stages before the lightning-quick Imperatori pulled out a modest gap.

Just after that, something happened in the battle for the lead. Tsukakoshi in car No. 17 had been chasing Matsuda in No. 12 at a faster pace and was already on his tail by lap 45, where he made a braking mistake going into the hairpin turn and did a half-spin that sent his car colliding into No. 12. (Matsuda). This caused Matsuda to spin as well. Tsukakoshi (No. 17) recovered first and took the lead, but three laps later the decision was made to give him a drive-through penalty as the one responsible for the collision. On the same lap 47 where Tsukakoshi was given his penalty, the battle for third was heating up. Yamamoto in car No. 100 passed car No. 36 (Nakajima) in the Atwood Curve. When No. 17 (Tsukakoshi) returned to the pit lane for the drive-through penalty, it moved No. 100 (Yamamoto) up into second position. From this point on, Yamamoto in car No. 100 began to close the gap slowly on No. 12 (Matsuda), but the gap was too was too big for him to catch No. 12 before it took the chequered and the win.

While Kechele was charging forward, Roda’s Porsche came under pressure from the two SOFREV ASP Ferrari’s of Ludovic Badey in the No. 20 Ferrari 458 and Julien Jousse in the No. 10 Ferrari 458.

Vita4One Ferrari Triumphs In Spain

The No. 1 Vita4One Ferrari 458 took its first victory in the Blancpain Endurance Series at Navarra in Spain, finishing 17 seconds ahead of the Belgian Audi Club Audi R8 LMS.

At the flag it was Andrea Piccini who took the first win for the No. 4 Hexis AMR Aston Martin DB9, taking the lead in the Driver's Championship for himself and Christian Hohenadel in the process. Hohenadel and Piccini now have 61 points to Marc Basseng's and Markus Winkelhock on 57. Darren Turner and Stefan MÃ¼cke are third on 56 points. The result also means Hexis AMR extend their lead in the Team Championship to 17 points over All-Inkl.com MÃ¼nnich Motorsport.

While the car is an engineering feat, Mclaren also unveiled a team and development programme that will keep its customers ahead.

Among these, Ito (No. 6) was running at the fastest pace and gradually closing what was initially a 16-second gap between him and Motoyama (No. 23). It looked as if Ito would eventually take the lead if that pace continued, but with about ten laps remaining the rain began falling harder and forming puddles on the track that made conditions treacherous. Cars began spinning out and running off the track. Seeing this, the Clerk of the course ordered the red flag out at the end of lap 60 to stop the race. Eventually it was decided to end the competition at this point, making the running order at the end of lap 59 the final finishing order. This gave the victory to the No. 23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R (Satoshi Motoyama/Benoit Treluyer). Finishing seconnd was the No. 6 ENEOS SUSTINA SC430 (Daisuke Ito/Kazuya Oshima), while third went to the No. 19 WedsSport ADVAN SC430 (Tatsuya Kataoka/Seiji Ara).

The 911 GT3 RS, one of Porsche's most popular, coveted and successful track-inspired production cars, has been given a final injection of thoroughbred technology resulting in the 911 GT3 RS 4.0.

A seven-speed DSG gearbox with paddle shifters is fitted as standard. The new car also comes fitted with the same electronic transverse differential lock (XDS) you find on a Golf GTI. It electronically mimics a limited slip differential to reduce the tendency to under steer and deliver the power to the road more efficiently.

The Leinder’s Ford suffered the same fate as the Belgian Audi Club cars when a tyre blew out on lap 19 and had to return to the pits for a replacement promoting Nico Verdonck in the Vita4One Ferrari into second.

The first race of the series sees plenty of thrills and spills alike.

As well as its all-new body shape, the new Forte Hatchback (the official name for the 5-door model) introduces styling, equipment, refinement and technical improvements, which are also featured on the new 2011 Forte sedan and two-door Koup models introduced last December. These include six-speed transmission with paddle shifters, boot-type gear shift, LED side repeaters, and integrated blue-tooth. Technically similar to its sedan and Koup sister cars, the new Forte hatchback has the same overall width, height and wheelbase as the sedan. The difference lies in the reduction of 190 mm in the rear overhang, therefore the five-door model is 4,340 mm long. Despite its more compact dimensions, the hatchback’s cargo volume of 385 litres (VDA) is highly competitive in its class.

As the field came through the first lap it was the No. 38 Lamborghini in the lead from the No. 11 Exim Bank Team China Corvette of Mike Hezemans and Nicky Catsburg. The field remained tightly bunched however with less than four seconds covering the top eight after five laps, and the order condensed further three laps later when the Safety Car came out. Peter Dumbreck had dived down the inside of the No. 40 Marc VDS Ford GT and looked to have the line, but spun as the Ford refused to cede ground and was collected by the helpless No. 9 Belgian Racing Ford GT - the resulting damage causing a lengthy Safety Car spell.
