Noticeably from the third tankful onwards, the engine needed less effort to move off and I could shift up at 3,500 rpm instead — even with two additional passengers. On top of that while cruising along the expressway, the engine seem less coarse than before. As a whole, it definitely feels more effortless to drive now — something I highly appreciate, as this daily driver of mine is somewhat providing additional comfort to make driving a less tedious affair. Caltex definitely delivered what was said on their label with this one.

The car we have here today is the highest specced HR-V LX Premium. The car looks great from afar. Even up close, the rakish lines and abundance of curves do the HR-V lots of favours in the image department. Trendy and modern-looking, the HR-V is a really striking SUV, much like the first generation HR-V that was launched here some 15 years ago. Unlike the first HR-V though, the new one doesn’t come in a 3-door variant. However, it has combined the look by having a concealed rear door handle like the Alfa Romeo 156, 147 and more recently, the Giulietta (the new Civic hatchback will have them too).

Based on the SLS, the GT S is lighter and has room in the boot for golf bags and luggage. It doesn't have gullwings though and has been designed and priced to go head-to-head with the Porsche 911, instead of the more exotic kind like its predecessor did. But the 911 seats four (well, sort of), while the GT S is a two-seater. Oh well, we'll know more when (and if) we get to drive one.

During the first few years, I must say it was well taken care of; servicing intervals were adhered to religiously and it was sent for regular polishing. The opening race of Audi's one-make cup at Hockenheim features some famous guest drivers; race is also part of the 2015 DTM Festival

Barely a year into this new appointment, Aston Martin's CEO, Dr Andy Palmer, is swapping his business suit for a race suit as he lines up alongside three fellow drivers to campaign a V8 Vantage GT4.


Based on inside source, the magazine also reported that the TT rival will be based on Mercedes's MFA2 front-wheel drive platform; this same platform will make its debut in the next A-Class which is planned for a 2017/2018 launch. And in terms of bodywork, it was said to resemble the AMG GT; a soft-top version, also like the TT, will also be available.

Mercedes is set to expand its model range, and this latest news indicates they are not going to be left behind by BMW and Audi's aggressive 'fill-every-segment' strategy


Occupying a total area of 6,668 square meters, the seven storey facility will be offered as a one-stop shop option for customers to view the different range of passenger and commercial vehicles distributed by Tan Chong. The new S$40 million multi-brand showroom began construction in September 2012 and is part of the company's effort to centralise and consolidate its operations. Nissan customers can also expect work bay facilities for their car servicing needs in the new showroom.
