It's not often one gets to drive a brand new car from a brand new, er... brand. Well that's what we did last week with Wearnes Automotive, distributors of the latest premium luxury marque, Infiniti.


The RS 3 Sportback differs from its S3 cousin with flared front fenders made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP), prominent sill panels, exterior-mirror casings in matt aluminium look and a large roof spoiler. A high-gloss black diffuser insert and two elliptical exhaust tailpipes on the left accentuate the styling at the rear.

Wearnes Automotive, Infiniti’s Singapore dealer, will commence sales of the initial Infiniti range which includes a performance sedan, a sports convertible and two sport crossovers.


Organised by ESPN STAR Sports Event Management Group, the Singapore event is the first leg of the Achilles Asian Drift Series which will be followed by one in Indonesia in October, Thailand in November, with the year-end Grand Finale in Malaysia. Into the race, the leading Weider HSC-010 and S Road Mola GTR opened up a big gap between the rest of the pack, with a gap that varied from lap to lap. The action however, was behind the leaders as two HSV-010's (Keihin #17 and Arta #8) battled for the final podium position. Andre Lotterer in the Petronas Tom'S SC430 was fighting for sixth place, only to be held back by the GT-R's straight line speeds.
