The Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid will be presented at the 2011 Geneva motor show. A production-ready car, the V60 Plug-in hybrid has carbon dioxide emissions of below 50 g/km. The car can be driven on diesel power alone, as a diesel-electric hybrid, or as an electric-only car - technology that no other manufacturer can currently offer. The plug-in hybrid, which will be launched on the market in 2012, is the result of close cooperation between Volvo Cars and energy supplier Vattenfall.

It stops very well too, the 18-inch rims hide 280mm disc brakes in the front and 262mm in the rear. While we weren't mad enough to make the stability controls kick in, this also boiled down to the good grip that the tyres provided.
