Now however, they have unveiled a new, smaller mid-engined sports car to rival the Porsche 911: the B6 Venator. Currently still a concept, it is slated to begin production for most markets in early 2014, and for North America in Autumn 2014.

Spyker Returns With The B6 Venator Concept

Spyker is back with a vengeance as it announces its first new model in over 3 years, and it has the Porsche 911 in its sight.

The 3.8-litre V8 engine, although smaller than the previous flagship's 4.7-litre, is built to deliver 18% more power and 39% more torque, while having a 20% reduction in emissions. 530 bhp is available if you're gunning it all the way to 6800 rpm, but a hefty 650 Nm of torque starts to warm you up from as low as 2000rpm. Oh, and this can be overboosted to 710 Nm from 2250 rpm, enabling the car to hit 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds!

Maserati's all new Quattroporte received a warm welcome by the media recently at a private preview held by Hong Seh Motors, distributors for the italian marque.

The new Mazda 6 has adopted the 'KODO — Soul of Motion' design theme the most. Inspired by the movements of the cheetah in the wild, the new model features the signature wing grille, the new family face of Mazda. Headlamps incorporate LEDs and a new halo ring light, while linking the face to the side character lines and onwards to the signature tail lights.

No official release of news on the Volkswagen GTI just yet, but its diesel twin has made an entrance at the party already, with strong overtones and nuances of what we've seen on the GTI concept snaps

Aside from the ActiveHybrid badges, it's pretty much the same on the outside, what you get on a regular 3 Series sedan is what you'll find on the AH3. Our test car did come with some silver aluminum inserts and trimmings, the signature kidney grille for example, has its slats finished in silver instead of chrome. Another quick way to differentiate the AH3 from the regular 3 Series is to look at the wheels (provided they aren't spinning). The rotor-styled wheels are unique to the AH3, and along with its bigger brethren, the AH5 and AH7, complete the range of propeller-design wheels on the ActiveHybrid series.

The headlights are now smaller in size and have daytime running lights that may have been inspired by Nike. The car’s rear end has also received a radical redesign. Lexus’ redesigned IS rocks the entry-level sport sedan segment, in hope of leaving their ‘boring’ image behind.

AMG is going all out for the styling; the car has a very aggressive appearance to tell all the bystanders that this is no businessman’s bog-stock E-Class, but a performance car capable of scarsely believable performance figures. The front and rear bumpers, headlights and the side skirts have been modified. The headlights come in the form of a one-piece unit with LEDs and bi-xenon, as compared to the two-piece unit on the outgoing car. The side skirts are more pronounced and features trim that runs goes along the length of the car.

2014 Nissan GT-R Engines Get Enhanced

As if it needs more power and 'improved throttle and acceleration feel' - the Nissan GT-R still gets it anyway. That, and an aluminum nameplate with the name of the engine constructor.

I must admit though that I took sometime to warm up to the car. Getting into a huggy Recaros for one, was a bit of a squeeze, and I'm not, er… horizontally challenged. I never had this problem with the old car, and I remember it being a lot roomier up front. But let's not jump the gun and focus (sorry, had to do it) on the new car.
