The 2011 New York International Auto Show ends on a high note.

VIP Luxury Inc is looking to make an impact with the drifting event, which has already established a strong following in Singapore. VIP Luxury Inc. will be going all out to make sure that guests are entertained throughout the evening, with VIP Rock the Rabbit Festival, pulling out all the stops by bringing down the world famous International Playboy Model DJs, DJ Roxanne Dawn and DJ Diamond to keep fans entertained for the entire night. The Rock the Rabbit - Festival will also kick off with a casting call for all prospective VIP magazine Bunnies, as well as a VIP fashion show, amidst a colourful, activity lined festival grounds. Standup comedian Kumar adds humour to this event too. The festival will also include a special VIP access only art gallery dedicated to the decades of legendary Playboy Magazine Covers, as well as famous interviews with celebrities. VIP guests will have access to
the Mansion Hospitality Suites, getting the full VIP treatment serving aphrodisiac food and drinks.

It was a wet morning as we all made our way to the rendezvous point in the eastern part of our little island. Great, now how on earth are we going to enjoy driving with the roof down in such crappy weather? Well, let’s just say the dude above wanted us to have a blast, so lo and behold, the weather stopped almost instantly by the time we arrived. Well, you should know what wet roads lead to — over steering antics, that sort. In the case of the 370Z and the Boxster S, it wasn't hard. Switch off the traction control, floor the pedal at the right time, steer with confidence and tadaa… “dorift-o”, as what Krado would say. Not so easy with the four-wheel driven TTS though — but a little pull of the handbrake with no traction control will see it go sideways, although not as spectacular as the other two.

Audi has added another model to its R8 lineup in Singapore.

With all pit stops completed and 16 laps remaining, Hamilton was fourth. But on lap 42, he passed Rosberg for third and then proceeded to overtake Felipe Massa two laps later to move up to second, 4.6 seconds behind Vettel. The gap between Vettel and Hamilton was soon whittled down over the next eight laps, with Hamilton eventually passing Vettel with five laps remaining.

The first race of the series sees plenty of thrills and spills alike.

As the field came through the first lap it was the No. 38 Lamborghini in the lead from the No. 11 Exim Bank Team China Corvette of Mike Hezemans and Nicky Catsburg. The field remained tightly bunched however with less than four seconds covering the top eight after five laps, and the order condensed further three laps later when the Safety Car came out. Peter Dumbreck had dived down the inside of the No. 40 Marc VDS Ford GT and looked to have the line, but spun as the Ford refused to cede ground and was collected by the helpless No. 9 Belgian Racing Ford GT - the resulting damage causing a lengthy Safety Car spell.

What you need to take note of however is the uninspiring note coming from the bonnet. If you are the sort who is used to hearing the warble of V8s or whirr of force-fed power plants, you might probably just drop your jaws… in amusement. But hey, it is a hybrid after all — the smoothness and seamless operations (both lump and box) is a given. The fact that it starts and idles quietly is also pretty amazing. By the way, the CT200h can be driven solely on a fully charged electric motor at speeds of up to 45km/h before the petrol engine actually kicks in, vibration-free.
