The VLN endurance race provided the opportunity for Hyundai Motor to intensively test the i30 N car that feature technical specifications very close to the actual production car. The i30 N car was up against cars from other manufacturers, that are heavily modified, to cope with the demands of the VLN race.Albert Biermann, Hyundai Motor's Head of Vehicle Test and High Performance Development said, “We want our high performance brand to have considerable racing pedigree so it is important that we compete with minimal modifications. The S3 sedan - which is also available in Sportback form - is a handsome car, with a sporty single-frame grill with matt grey inlays contrasting against the black paint. The lower air inlets have slightly more pronounced lines and a RS-styled honeycomb grill, giving the new S3 a meaner stance. While the black exterior is certainly safe, perhaps a more impactful colour for the test car would have been nice - Misano Red maybe?

The nonprofit group's goal is to promote more choice in how smartphones get connected to in-vehicle technologies like dashboard displays and voice recognition, and in other programming, Ford and Toyota said in a joint statement. Toyota has resisted offering Apple's CarPlay and Google's Android Auto in its vehicles, citing concern that doing so would diminish safety and security. Ford, on the other hand, offers them on all its 2017 model vehicles; but the automaker still wants an open-source software platform that all app developers can use as an alternative to those of Google and Apple.

In a move to prevent both Google and Apple from conquering in-vehicle apps, Ford and Toyota have stepped in together to form a telematics alliance


The stance of the car, particularly from the rear three-quarter panel to the wheel arch, was carefully refined with a slightly wider track. The characteristic front engine-bay vents of the 275 GTB are an evident styling cue, as is the adoption of the triple louvres in the three-quarter panel in place of the F12berlinetta’s B-post quarterlights. However, the louvres on the rear bumper, together with the milled aluminium fuel filler cap, instead got its inspiration from the special competition-developed 275 GTB (chassis number 06885) that won the GT category in the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hour race; that particular race car won third place overall. Its yellow paint scheme is also a tribute to that 275 GTB, echoing its Ecurie Francorchamps team colour.

This latest one-off, built on the chassis of the F12berlinetta, is named the 'SP 275 rw'


In early 2016, a second shift was introduced into the McLaren Production Centre to cater for the increased volume thanks to the introduction of the Sports Series family, today comprising the 540C, 570S and 570GT. This took capacity at the Production Centre from 10 cars per day to 20 cars per day. 2016 also marked the announcement of the company’s third year of profitability in the first five years it has been producing cars — unprecedented in the automotive industry. McLaren is also on target to almost double its sales this year  compared to 2015, from 1,654 cars last year to over 3,000 cars in 2016, of which over 90 percent exported. This volume increase is thanks, in large part, to the ramp up in production and success of the Sports Series models.
