A group of driving enthusiasts recently attended a Defensive Car Control Course organised by SMSC.

Compared to the first generation Touareg, the new Touareg has its dimensions increased in both length and width as well as a lower centre of gravity. And that's not all, for the new Touareg despite its increase in size is now a lighter machine for better power to weight ratio (208 kg lighter) due to targeted body modifications, material selection and a lighter weight power train. And even though the new Touareg is now a lighter machine, its body has a five percent greater torsional rigidity (24,800 Nm/Â°), making it the leader in its class.

It was down to a 350Z or an R32 in my quest to own a V6. Both are great cars, but as I placed my mind over my heart, the choice was clear.

With appropriate optimization in engine technology, the maximum output of the 3.0-litre power unit is increased to 340 hp with peak torque at 450 Nm, increasing briefly with the Overboost function to 500 Nm. The outstanding power and performance of the BMW Z4 sDrive35is is expressed in particular by the significant increase in pulling power and muscle to be clearly experienced in all situations, accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.

At first glance, you might mistake the Voyager Pro to be an earpiece of a telemarketeer and it's hard not to think that way, but as we go through the gadget, bear in mind that this product is function over form, and after taking a few more glances, I am sure you will start to like it gradually. In terms of colour scheme, Plantronics has opted for a more sedate approach with the usage of black and gray, giving it a more business like look. As for overall design, the Voyager Pro is nowhere as compact as some other hands-free kits in the market such as the Plantronics Discovery 975, but compactness was never tops on the Voyager Pro's design team's list, but this is where functionality comes into play as the Voyager PRO is designed to cling snugly to the area behind your ear which is why it is a tad larger than other hands-free kits. The two main reasons for the Voyager Pro's design are firstly, the fitment of a battery as large as possible for usage durability and secondly, provide comfort during prolonged use.

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo, was recently interviewed by a team of journalists for several BBC TV and radio programmes broadcast.

And they certainly learnt a lot from the chief instructor Rick Bates of Australia, a former international rally champion who now runs Bates Advanced Driving in Canberra to provide all levels of driver training, including rallying and racing. His expertise was telling, particularly in showing how things were done as he accompanied the participants through all the exercises. Just as well that the venue suited the programme, with The Plaza at the Changi
Exhibition Centre in Changi Coast Road providing the wide open space needed for such a safety event.

Guided by professional driving instructors, 'The Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience' provided participants with an exclusive opportunity to drive an almost complete range of Mercedes-Benz models.

Disc brakes are fitted to all wheels, with ventilated discs and Brembo double piston, fixed calipers at the front. Suspension is derived from a tried and tested Abarth configuration with the front provided by independent McPherson struts, while rear suspension is semi-independent with a torsion bar. Abarth has also fitted a larger anti-roll bar together with front springs that are 20% harder than those of a standard suspension system.
