Compared to the first generation Touareg, the new Touareg has its dimensions increased in both length and width as well as a lower centre of gravity. And that's not all, for the new Touareg despite its increase in size is now a lighter machine for better power to weight ratio (208 kg lighter) due to targeted body modifications, material selection and a lighter weight power train. And even though the new Touareg is now a lighter machine, its body has a five percent greater torsional rigidity (24,800 Nm/Â°), making it the leader in its class.

In addition, the open system enables easy integration with other software solutions for supplementary business models and information services which can be easily interconnected. Together with local partners SingTel and Greenlots, this project marks Bosch’s foray into developing urban infrastructure system solutions to achieve an integrated infrastructure for electric vehicles in a mega city environment for the first time in Asia Pacific.

Bosch will be providing charging stations and software to manage mobility in mega cities and support the proliferation of electric vehicles in Singapore.

Joining the left and right sides of the grille are the newly developed bixenon headlights with integrated LED indicator lights and LED cornering lights. The new bumper design complements the radiator grille and
headlight styling. Here too, horizontal lines are the virtual common thread
linking their design. Even the front fog lights now shine in LED technology.
