Audi has redesigned its executive class model the Audi A6, and it is set to make its market debut in Singapore in the second half of 2011.


After a highly successful first season, the 2011 FIA GT1 World Championship will begin as it did in 2010, in Abu Dhabi at the end of March. As well as the event in the United Arab Emirates, the events in Algarve, Silverstone, Navarra, Paul Ricard and San Luis are all carried over from the inaugural season. The four new tracks on the 2011 calendar include Zolder (Belgium), Sachsenring (Germany) and Curitiba (Brazil), with the GT1 World Championship heading into new territory in September with a race in China, at the Ordos International Circuit.

The new Opel Astra brings into the compact class its own interpretation of the brand’s award winning design language of combining sculptural artistry with German precision first seen in the Insignia. Its strong coupé-like silhouette and stylish details add to a new handsome look. Elegant proportions give it a strong, cab-forward silhouette, with a steeply-raked windshield and falling rear roof line, adding visual excitement to the traditional hatchback format. Also new to the Astra are double wing-shapes in each of the rear lights and a dynamic inverted blade on the flank that visually connects to the powerful movement of the rear window and C-pillar. For the iF product design award 2011, the organizers received 2,756 submissions from 43 countries for products registered in 16 categories. Compared to the 458 Italia, the direct injection 4,499 cc V8 remains strictly in production tune, with an output of 570 hp at 9,000 rpm. That said, modifications have been made to the gear ratios and calibration of its dual-clutch F1 gearbox to guarantee higher torque at lower revs. The 458 Challenge is also equipped with the EDiff electronic differential already employed on the road-going version, a first for Ferrari's track-only cars. Significant work has also gone into cutting the car’s weight. This focused on both the exterior and interior with Ferrari’s engineers concentrating in particular on reducing the thickness of the body shell panels and on using lightweight materials, such as carbon fibre and Lexan. The new 458 Challenge also has a specific suspension set-up with steel uniball joints, stiffer springs, single-rate alloy dampers, centre-nut 19” forged rims, larger dimension Pirelli slicks and a ride height lowered by 50 mm all round. It is also equipped with the new generation Brembo CCM2 brakes integrated with the latest ABS system which debuted on the 599XX, Ferrari’s extreme experimental laboratory car.

The BBSG Car Delivery Day is an annual tradition that encourages and allows members of the public to experience first-hand, the joy and happiness they bring to the less fortunate in society through their personal involvement in the BBSG project. Food items that are collected and packed into food hampers by Boys’ Brigade members are loaded into private vehicles. These volunteers then help to deliver the food hampers to the individual homes of beneficiaries registered with the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) under the Public Assistance (PA) Scheme and ComCare Transition (CCT) Scheme.
