A Burnpavement.com Photo Competition
Submissions are divided into 3 categories:
EXTERIOR - No wonder it is the Most Beautiful Car of the Year - there are design details in every corner of the Citroën DS4.
Capture the muscular fender lines, or the highly-detailed alluring light clusters, there are so many aspects of this car you
can use to make that winning exterior photo.
INTERIOR - Did we mention the DS4 won the Most Beautiful Car Interior of the Year as well? Snap an overall photo of the
arresting interior or zoom in on a captivating detail, the possibilities are endless.
ABSTRACT - Let your creativity run wild. In the ABSTRACT category, there are no limits!
HOW TO SUBMIT
You will be given the opportunity to shoot the car at 3 different locations:
1. Mandarin Gallery - where the car will be on display for Fashion Steps Out! till 1st April
2. Citroën Pod - at 239 Alexandra Road, Singapore 159930
Showroom Opening Hours
Monday to Saturday: 8.30am to 7.00pm
Sunday & Public Holidays: 10.00am to 6.00pm
3. Outdoor Location (to be advised) - 15 min time slots from 10 am to 6pm. Register at the email below (first come first served basis)
Closing date: 13th April 2012 at 23:00
Simply register and email your submissions to ds4photo@burnpavement.com
Please include your full name, NRIC and contact number.
• Photos must be in 72 dpi (1st round. Finalists will be asked to submit a 300 dpi version).
• Less than 2MB file size
• Rationale of no more than 200 words - optional
Once uploaded and approved by the judging panel, your photo will appear on the Burnpavement Facebook page where you
can ‘LIKE’ and share with your friends.
APPROVAL OF SUBMISSION
After the above submission process, your photo will go through an internal approval process and will NOT appear on the
contest page immediately. The judging panel will review your photo and approve or reject it within 48 hours. Upon approval,
the photo will be uploaded to the Facebook page for you to vote and share with your friends. Please note that you will NOT
receive any notification email if your photo is rejected.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Entry Round - Judging will be based on the following criteria:
• Judges will pre-select the best photos to qualify.
• 50% Public votes where each ‘LIKE’ on Facebook constitutes 1 vote (Fake and newly formed accounts will not be counted).
• 50% Judges’ votes. The top 10 photos in each category will be judged by the panel, where only 5 in each of
the 3 categories will make it to the final round.
Final Round - A total of 15 photos/finalists will be evaluated solely by a new panel of judges that will include guest judges from
Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd and the industry. One winner for each category will be selected.
WINNERS
3 winners will be selected by the judges and will receive the grand prize (Prize allocation depends on availability).
• A weekend with the Citroën DS4
• $100 petrol vouchers
• Exclusive Citroen watch worth $388.
• Official trophy
- You will require a valid Facebook account to enter the contest. Any fake accounts will be disqualified.
- The recommended file size of each photo is less than 2 MB.
- Voting requires user to log into their Facebook account.
- Only 1 vote per photo is allowed per user.
- Finalists from each category are required submit full personal details when requested at the final round.
- Finalists are required to attend a prize presentation ceremony.
- Winners will be announced at the prize presentation ceremony.
- Winners will be announced on http://www.burnpavement.com.
- All finalists will be notified by email after the final winners are chosen. If the finalist does not respond to the notification within 5
business days another winner will be chosen. Failure to respond within the time frames shall mean that the provisional winner
forfeits the prize.
- Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd reserve the right to decide if a winner is suitable to claim the use of the
Citroën DS4 for the weekend drive. If the winner does not have a valid drivers’ license, an immediate family member may have
the use of the Citroën DS4 for the weekend drive. If there are no family members with a valid drivers’ license, the winner will
forfeit that part of the prize. Winners will be required to sign on the respective car loan and indemnity forms when they take the
Citroën DS4 out for the weekend drive.
- The contest is only available for people residing in Singapore.
- All Entrants must be above 18 years old.
- All submissions should not be over-retouched or water-marked.
- Entrants must send entries as required in the contest announcement in order to be eligible. Entries received after the deadline
set forth in the contest announcement are ineligible, null, and void. Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd will
not be responsible for and will not consider incomplete or incorrect entries.
- Up to 3 entries are allowed per Entrant.
COPYRIGHT
- The Entrant must be the sole author and owner of copyright, intellectual property and all other proprietary rights for the image(s) entered into the Competition.
- The Entrant retains full copyright of all images entered into the Competition.
- It is the legal responsibility of the Entrant, not the organisers or sponsors, to ensure compliance with all ownership and copyright requirements,
and own the rights to reproduce the image(s).
- The Organisers reserve the non-exclusive right and royalty to reproduce, display, distribute and show the entrant’s submission for the following purposes:
Operating, administering and promoting the competition;
Displaying the entrant’s submission on this competition website and/or Sponsors’ website;
Issuing a media release or making media pitches with images regarding winning entries;
Usage of the entrant’s submission during our roadshows, exhibitions and in publications both printed and online.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
- You acknowledge and agree that Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd shall have no obligation to post,
display, or otherwise make publicly available any photos submitted by you.
- You acknowledge and agree that photos submitted by you may be made available by Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage
France Pte Ltd for viewing, rating, reviewing, and commenting by the public. You acknowledge that comments or ratings that
you disagree with or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with the photos that you submit to
Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd. By submitting photos to Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage
France Pte Ltd, you waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to the photos.
PRIZES AND DISCLAIMERS
- If the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd in its sole
and absolute discretion may substitute a prize of like or equal value.
- Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to terminate any
contest at any time without prior notice.
- Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to alter any
contest rules at any time.
- Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd reserves the right to disqualify anyone who, in their opinion, has
tampered with or disrupted the entry process or operation of this contest or violated the rules. If the contest cannot be run as
planned for any reason, including technical problems, Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd reserves the
right to cancel, curtail, modify or suspend the contest. In the event the contest is terminated early, winners will be selected from
all eligible entries received at the time of termination and will include all mail in entries postmarked on termination day and all
electronic entries submitted prior to the termination.
- Employees of Burnpavement.com and Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd , their parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies,
advertising agencies, agents and the immediate family (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents) of each
such employees, and all those with whom such employees are domiciled, are NOT eligible.
- By entering a contest, you conclusively are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these contest rules and terms and conditions
as well as by any rules specific to such contest. This is an irrevocable condition of entry.
