Based on the findings of the report and the search for Asia’s Smartest FuelSaver, Shell has extended its effort to help drivers save 10% or more fuel. Now the focus is how to mobilise the 42% of the world’s drivers who are not currently saving. The Report suggests that fuel saving behaviours stick best when advice is shared by ‘Expert FuelSavers’ so Shell is establishing a global panel of Expert FuelSavers, starting with John and Helen Taylor, the Shell FuelSave Ambassadors and the finalists of Europe and Asia’s ‘Smartest FuelSavers’.

The champion wins a pair of Green Room hospitality suite tickets worth S$7,490, a 5D4N stay at Pan Pacific Singapore valued at S$3,297, exclusive passes to the Drivers’ Autograph Session during the 2010 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX race week, and round trip economy airfare for two. The first and second runners-up will also each win a 4D3N hotel stay, roundtrip economy airfare for two, a pair of Bay Grandstand tickets (worth S$1,796) and a pair of Stamford Grandstand tickets (worth S$596) respectively.

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo, was recently interviewed by a team of journalists for several BBC TV and radio programmes broadcast.


And they certainly learnt a lot from the chief instructor Rick Bates of Australia, a former international rally champion who now runs Bates Advanced Driving in Canberra to provide all levels of driver training, including rallying and racing. His expertise was telling, particularly in showing how things were done as he accompanied the participants through all the exercises. Just as well that the venue suited the programme, with The Plaza at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Changi Coast Road providing the wide open space needed for such a safety event.

Shell is offering its customers a chance to win up to S$100,000 worth of fuel monthly just by spotting numbers on their fuel receipts.
