Plantronics' Latest Headset Listens To You

BY Krado Low

The Savor raises the bar for headsets with voice controls.

Most bluetooth headsets have a huge problem - tiny buttons. The last thing you want to experience while driving is having to fumble with the headset to find the answer button. Savor, Plantronics' latest headset, obeys to vocal commands and keeps the hands free. Moreover, instead of visual indications, voice alerts fare used for alerts such as low battery and lost connections.

The Plantronics Savor features three microphones, two of which pick up voice and cancel out background noise under normal usage. The third microphone is activated in extremely noisy situations, to help improve vocal clarity while maximizing battery life.

The three mics work in tandem with AudioIQ3, Plantronics’ digital signal processor that preserves natural vocal clarity. Other unique features include WindSmart that reduces unwanted wind noise and automatic volume adjustments to make sure that your calls will always be loud and clear. Paired to an iPhone, users can monitor the Savor's battery levels from the phone itself.
