Cycle & Carriage (C&C) is pleased to announce the launch of ‘SG Driver’, an all-new iPhone application designed especially for the savvy driver.

The app is the first of its kind to be provided by a local automotive distributor and it bundles several handy tools and useful information related to driving. The app is provided free of charge as a value-added service to all C&C customers and to the public audience in general. It will be available for download at the Apple app store from 17 December 2010.

Here’s a glimpse into some of the tools included in ‘SG Driver’: 1. Accident Report: A useful tool to guide you through the steps after an accident. It prompts you to take photos and record details of the other cars involved in the accident and witnesses that will help when submitting insurance claims. You can email this information to anyone, including yourself. 2. Car Locator: A car locator tool which makes it easy for you to recall where you parked your car. Use it to take a photo or video of the parking spot and it will pin your location on the map. For multi-storey car parks, you can enter a note or use the voice recorder for floor level and other details.

3. Mileage Log: Track your fuel usage and calculate your car’s fuel efficiency rate. Car care tips are also provided to help drivers improve their car’s fuel efficiency rates. The Mileage Log works out usage based on kilometres travelled and litres filled between full petrol tanks. You can use it to compare your fuel efficiency under various conditions. In addition to the above features, ‘SG Driver’ has information on each of C&C’s four marques — Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Kia and Citroen with sections covering new cars, after sales/servicing, news and events. Look up service centre/showroom locations and opening hours with one easy tap of your finger.
