Fiat is back in Singapore!

BY Marcus Lim

After a 5-year hiatus in the local new car market, the iconic Italian brand makes a comeback.

A little bird has whispered in our ears that Fiat is making a return to Singapore!
Ok, I’ll be honest, it was Facebook. An ad for the relatively new Fiat Singapore Facebook page appeared on my feed, collecting registrations of interest for the 500.

A short animation on the page features the 500’s cherubic front end, asking if I was ‘ready for a new fun way of driving’ – as a fan of small hatchbacks, sure I was!

The brand is making a comeback under current Alfa Romeo dealer EuroAutomobile, and is set to be officially launched next month. We’ve been told that the 500 is presently undergoing homologation, and initial deliveries will commence in conjunction with the launch.

For now, only the 2-door coupe is available, powered by a 0.9-litre, 85 bhp engine. As standard, this engine will be paired with Fiat’s DuaLogic semi-manual transmission. However, we’re pleased to report that a row-your-own 5-speed manual will also be made available on an indent basis!

Prices for the 500 are expected to start at S$125,000 (inclusive of COE), however this might be subject to change. If you want to be one of the first few to get the keys, do register your interest on their website here. Alternatively, give them a follow on Facebook!

Update 5th November 2021
The 500 has been officially launched, priced at S$129,888 with COE!
