Asia Powerboat Championships Singapore 2019

We take a break from the roads this weekend and head to the waters for the 2019 Asia Powerboat Championships!

Held from 6th to 8th December 2019 at the NSRCC Sea Sports Centre along idyllic Changi Coast walk, the Asia Powerboat Championships promises a thrilling, adrenalin-filled time for the family. Featuring the all-new Shakespeare T750 racing boats powered by Tohatsu 50HP engines, these water ‘go-carts’ can achieve speeds of up to 90kph.

Internationally renowned race drivers from China, Hong Kong, Australia will be putting their skills to the test. Be sure to catch Ki Ki Wong, China’s first female race driver and UK’s rising talent, Charlotte Camsey. With 4 World Championships and 50 national titles to his name, Miles Jennings will feature in this edition of the race.

Flag off for the first race commences at 11:30 am on both Saturday and Sunday. There will be 8 races in total culminating in a podium presentation for the top 3 drivers at the end of each day.

In the spirit of Hamlet x Star Wars, the question of “To go or not to go” is easily answered in Yoda speak “Go or Go not, there is no try!” This event is free to the public so steer your way to 11 Changi Coast Walk this weekend! We look forward to seeing you there!
