Pininfarina builds the most powerful road-legal car ever designed and produced in Italy.

The stunning Pininfarina Battista was here in Singapore for a quick preview in preparation of its arrival in 2020. The full-electric hypercar holds the accolade of being the most powerful road-legal car ever designed and built in Italy.

With a whopping 1,900 bhp and 2,300 Nm of instantaneous torque, the Battista will 'fly' towards the 100 km/h mark in a mind-blowing time of less than two seconds. That's faster than you can say "Pininfarina Battista".

All this drama and speed is achieved with zero emissions and the car will continue to travel up to a 500 km range in that same tree-saving manner. Named after founder Battista Farina, the car is the first solely Pininfarina-badged car in its history.

It adopts the PURA design philosophy - Purity, Beauty, Rarity - which encapsulates Pininfarina's car design philosophy as envisioned by Automobili Pininfarina's Design Director Luca Borgogno.

No more than 150 Battistas will be individually hand-crafted at the Pininfarina SpA atelier in Turin, Italy. If you have the dough, you might still be able to get one from Wearnes Automotive, who is the appointed partner in South East Asia.

But if you're thinking of driving one down Raffles Boulevard on a Saturday evening, I'm afraid you'll be a bit disappointed, as the Battista will only be available with the steering wheel on the left side of the car. Making this a showpiece investment only if you were to get one.
