New Lexus RX 270

Borneo Motors is proud to present the new RX 270, a new 2.7-litre luxury SUV added to the highly popular Lexus RX range.

Following the success of the Lexus RX range, the pursuit of perfection continues on with the introduction of a new compact engine model - the RX 270 - for drivers who seek a more relaxed drive but yet do not wish to compromise on the luxury of the vehicle. Designed around the driver, the RX 270 provides ultimate convenience, comfort, safety and an exceptional driving experience.

Taking on the dynamic L-finesse design and retaining the RX identity, the RX 270's sleek profile is accentuated by broad 'shoulders' for a more athletic yet elegant presence. Bright finish side-window mouldings follow a subtly concaved line across the A pillars and C pillars, extending at the front and rear ends. In addition, the Lexus design cue of placing the grille lower than the headlights, along with the sharp headlights graphics, yields a strong frontal expression. The new RX 270 also offers high intensity discharge (HID) headlights as standard, with adaptive front lighting system (AFS) as option.

Internally, the design cues of the RX 270 continues with the Lexus L-finesse philosophy, with two distinct zones of 'display' and 'operation' to provide the driver with information and interaction with controls respectively. The interior is also designed with the imbuing of a feeling of a continuous line encircling the occupants and defining the controls and displays. A highlight of the 'display' zone is the Eco Driving Indicator light as well as the Eco driving indicator zone that displays current fuel economy using a bar graph as well as a driver alert when they are achieving bad fuel efficiency.

The new RX 270 teams a 2.7-litre in-line four-cylinder engine with a six-speed Super Intelligent Electronically Controlled Transaxle (ECT). It also has a better fuel efficiency of 10.4 km/litre. In addition, Dual VVT-i, Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) and a three-stage variable oil pump have been adopted. These and other highly efficient, lightweight and clean emission technologies such as Tumble Control Valves (TCV) are used to achieve reduced fuel consumption, high power output, low emissions, and reduced noise and vibration.
