The new BMW X1 promises to be a great ride for all occasions and every terrain, city or nature!

We brave the rain to take a sneak peek at the new BMW X1 at 112 Katong. The current model wears the accolade of being the brand's best-selling SUV model, something the new one will hope to achieve as well.

On display was the sDrive20i M Sport variant boasting a 2-litre BMW Twin Power Turbo 4 cylinder engine with 192 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. Impressively, this family-friendly SUV (M variant) hits 100km/h in 7.7 seconds.

Thanks to the generous headroom, there’s plenty of space and comfort for a small family looking for a 5-seat, 5-door SUV. The new X1 comes in 3 petrol variants (standard, xLine and M Sport). Prices range between $173,000 for the sDrive18i variant to $184,000 for the M Sport at the time of viewing.

This model looks to be a conquest luxury SUV variant for BMW and is a worthy rival to the Audi Q3, Volvo XC40 and Mercedes GLA. From weekday errands to fun, weekend family getaways, the new BMW X1 looks to be a compelling choice in the family SUV segment!
