Bentley Motorsport wins the world’s toughest GT3 endurance title

Bentley Motorsport has won the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with Bentley Team M-Sport, at the final round of the series in Barcelona. The team entered the championship finale in the lead, with a 16-point lead over its next nearest rival. 

Bentley’s Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush commented, “Securing the Endurance Cup Teams title is testament to the hard work that every single member of Bentley Motorsport and Bentley Team M-Sport has put in to this season. We’ll be back next year aiming to go one better and secure the driver’s title too.”

Despite the win, the race was not as smooth sailing as initially expected. Continental GT3 #7 required a full front-end rebuild after a crash in qualifying, and car #8 had a tricky qualifying session after various disruptions. However, against all odds, the cars respectively finished the race 30 and 20 places ahead from where they first began.
