Lexus introduces the new 2011 IS 250, a sporty drive like no other.

Borneo Motors (Singapore) Pte Ltd recently unveiled the newly restyled 2011 Lexus IS 250. The fast, agile and breathtaking sports sedan raises the sportiness up another notch with new touches and enhanced features.

Exterior wise, the New 2011 Lexus IS 250 adopts a new front grille and bumper while still offering a new generation design structure to embody the L-finesse philosophy. Various design elements have been changed especially around the front; including the strengthening of Lexus face characteristics and the characterisation of headlamps. A dynamic-looking moulding reminisce air flowing with an emphasis on depth, a three-dimensional feel, and 'Wide and Low' stance express the evolution of Lexus design cues.

The front grille frame adopts a shape with depth, with the aim of further evolving a three-dimensional feel of the arrow head while the vertical grille bars take on a re-designed shape to express a low centre of gravity and vibrant feel. Each side of the lower grille adopts an intake shape that is connected to the cooling duct, to realise a practical moulding with deep design cues. An arrowhead Light Emitting Diode (LED) Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) is introduced to the High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamp equipped IS 250 Premium model, allowing easy visual confirmation of the Lexus identity. Dark smoke coating is also applied to the headlamp extension to express a bold look while the front fog lamp has been re-designed as well.

The new IS 250 is powered by a 2.5-litre D4 Direct Fuel Injection V6 engine, combined with Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-intelligence) system, providing the highest levels of output and power performance in its class, along with superior fuel economy and low-exhaust emissions. The V6 engine with Dual VVT-i system, controls and optimizes the exhaust valve timing as well as intake, resulting in the superb fuel economy at all engine rev ranges, from idling to high speed together with seamless power output from low and middle rev to high rev ranges. The D4 system enables intake cooling from the in-cylinder direct fuel injection system, leading to better filling efficiency and reduced liability to knocking. This enables a higher compression ratio, for greater output performance and improved fuel economy.
